Ric Flair Posted 19 October 2005 Posted 19 October 2005 I don't want to sound like i'm finally jumping on the Wilcox bandwagon but he's surely got to be a better alternative to Joe Hamill? Wilcox is a great crosser and long range shooter, something Hamill did abysmalling last night. With Smudger 2 games away from being available I think it's time Jase was wheeled on to the pitch for a couple of humdingers. I've seen the light

Hitesh Posted 19 October 2005 Posted 19 October 2005 Welcome aboard Ric. However, I fear that even the mighty Jase is going to struggle to ignite this bag of shit we've got at the minute. Well said!! We need Stuart Pearce to have a go at this lot!
Jonbluefox9 Posted 19 October 2005 Posted 19 October 2005 If Wilcox is brought in to the team to play on the left then keep Hamill in on the right. He didn't look brilliant last night but I feel he had to concentrate on helping Johansson defensively too much. If he had had a solid full back behind him then I feel he would have been more useful in attcking positions. One thing he did do that I didn't see many if any other City players do was run at Burnley with the ball at his feet. If his team mates couldn't be bothered to move off the ball to receive the ball then he decided to move himself and take the ball forward. He also swapped wings with Sylla which I don't feel worked. Hearts fans said CL liked to swap wingers over but I don't know why?
Guest Gist Posted 19 October 2005 Posted 19 October 2005 I agree with giving wilcox a go seeing has when he has played he has'nt played bad
BenFilbert Posted 19 October 2005 Posted 19 October 2005 I agree with giving wilcox a go seeing has when he has played he has'nt played bad I agree. He hasn't played bad. He's been worse than that!
King Kyle lcfc Posted 19 October 2005 Posted 19 October 2005 Have you watched thebloke he's got nothing to prove i bet katassi and the JWADs are more frustrated then he is that wicox is not even on the bench j wilcox is on the easy street to retirement postcode M0N33Y
Louise Posted 19 October 2005 Posted 19 October 2005 Yep. With Smith out and both Hamill and Sylla being inconsistant I'd say Wilcox is our best wide option. He isn't quick anymore but he has a good cross on him. I don't know what's happened to him as he was in the 16 for the few games of the season then disappeared. We played some nice football with him in the team as well (not saying that was all down to him of course!).

Jonbluefox9 Posted 19 October 2005 Posted 19 October 2005 Wilcox has gone up in people's estimations by not playing. It's the same with any footballer really. If those that are playing, aren't doing brilliantly then those that aren't playing are seen as being better. Some people were moaning about how Williams plays and then after last night people are asking for him to come back because Kisnorbo was poor. Remembering the stick Levein got for offering Wilcox a new deal last season I can't believe so many people actually want him to play now.
Cobbo Posted 19 October 2005 Posted 19 October 2005 Welcome to the sane club Ric. Now, Craig, We want Jase!
Scow Posted 19 October 2005 Posted 19 October 2005 Welcome to the sane club Ric. Now, Craig, We want Jase! Yes, we want width and guile. Jase the ace would provide that.
Hullfox Posted 19 October 2005 Posted 19 October 2005 j wilcox is on the easy street to retirement postcode M0N33Y Wheras you probably live somewhere in IQ4 I suspect

Gené and Tonic Posted 20 October 2005 Posted 20 October 2005 We need Stuart Pearce to have a go at this lot! If only @Lush Who would you like to see there then Lush? Give Hammil a few more games?
lush Posted 20 October 2005 Posted 20 October 2005 @Lush Who would you like to see there then Lush? Give Hammil a few more games? I`d never player wilcox whilst we have hamill, but i`d play sheehan as wing back but a more attacking rather than defensive style.
