We've needed to play it on the floor for seasons. Maybe this will force us to do so.

I've been really impressed with Maddison's corners this pre-season but defending corners has always been a problem for us.

Having said that I bet we concede more from penalties than we do from corners this season.

I just hope that Kasper stays on his line for penalties and waits until they've been hit before diving and gets off his line for corners.

This is really true, you can tell he's been working on them. Love his inswingers and also the short corners.

In terms of defending, I'm confident that Maguire to Soyuncu will not suddenly leave us unable to defend corners. We will, come the end of the season, probably concede a similar amount to corners as we did last season.

Part of the reason Ronaldo, Ibrahimovic and Lewanowski have racked up so many goals in the last ten years has been their size and power and I can still remember Nistelroy pushing defenders around , if Pete Crouch had been 5-10 how many goals would he have scored , Michael Owen always said having a big guy around made it easier for him and Heskey's muscle helped him a lot.

Your last sentence, that must have made Michaels eyes water, poor chap.

Barcelona had a team of midgets who couldnt head the ball and even had midfielders playing in defence like Mascherano.

Barcelona had Messi.

Cambiasso was so short but won EVERYTHING in the air in midfield. Never seen anything like it.
