Raw Dykes Posted 26 August 2019 Posted 26 August 2019 Pretty optimistic. With it being such a young team, and Rodgers not having been here long, I think there's a good chance we'll improve over the season. I think it might click at some point, and we will go up a level, much like in the second half at Chelsea. The form of Tielemans and Perez is a minor concern, but it's very early days. We know they are good players, and with good competition in the squad, it shouldn't be a big problem. I don't think Barnes will need many chances to nail down a place in the starting XI. Our competitors for a European spot look vulnerable. Arsenal should be okay, although their defence is shoddy. Chelsea aren't strong by their standards. Man Utd could easily be looking at a long, hard slog of a season. Even Spurs could struggle. It will be far from easy to finish top 6, but with so many of the elite weaker than usual, this could be a golden opportunity.
