Head Honcho Posted 3 November 2005 Posted 3 November 2005 Big up to all the Para's who were accused of murdering an Iraqi civillian. The case has been dismissed due to insufficient evidence. Shame on the MOD for bringing the charges in the first place. How on earth are you going to get young lads joining up to protect our Country when the MOD don't support them.

Didn't realise they were protecting our country, thought it belonged to the Iraqis.
The People's Hero Posted 3 November 2005 Posted 3 November 2005 How can it belong to the Iraqis when there are plenty of valuable resources there? They were blatantly just custodians of the land until us 'civilised' westerners could muster up a good enough justification ( ! ) to roll in to town and party.

The People's Hero Posted 3 November 2005 Posted 3 November 2005 Thankyou for the 'as ever' addition there! I'm both humbled and touched by your kind words. Let's have a beer some time
Head Honcho Posted 3 November 2005 Author Posted 3 November 2005 Didn't realise they were protecting our country, thought it belonged to the Iraqis. Currently 4% of the British Armed Forces are serving in Iraq. The other 96% are protecting our country and our countries interests. Let's hope we don't have to rely on you two in the future It is by the way "in our interest" to be in Iraq.

I do however agree with you that you should not rely on me to invade countries and kill innocent civilians at any time in the future.

Also, I don't think that either of us ever claimed that there were a vast number of British servicemen in Iraq. The number who are there isn't really the issue.
