Well I grew up on filbert Street.  Football was less family oriented and sanitised

But our place is far from the worst. Issue we have is we have 2 areas that want to go at it and that's it.

Agreed, introduction of rail seating should see to that problem and allow both sets to gather together. Only problem is the location of the stadium the club decides to put that in

Yep, couple of days ago. Hopefully they take it all into consideration and not just wave it off

We already stand next to the away fans, what difference will safe standing make?

A group of fans do. And even that has decreased a lot since the title winning season when it used to be rocking week in week out. It’s a fact that standing up rather than sitting creates a better atmosphere so why wouldn’t get all like minded fans together in one place instead of scattered around not improve the atmosphere?

Oh it will, point I’m making is we have 2000 odd fans who already stand in k1 and L1, so if we have safe standing and it goes in L1 K1, it doesn’t replace anything we already have, if it goes anywhere else then the fans in L1 K1 won’t be allowed to stand any more because there will be a designated standing area and straight away the club will make the rest of the ground a seating only. If safe standing goes in the kop then the home fans and away fans will be at opposite ends of the ground, consequently making the atmosphere worse and I very much doubt they’ll put it in the family stand. It’s a little more complicated installing safe standing with the layout of the stands and comparing what we would actually gain to what we already have.
