My mum and dad booked a holiday on teletext once, kept having to wait for the page to come round again so they could write all the details down properly

Loved Ceefax as a kid. I remember having it on after school one day on the "old" transfer deadline, was around March 2001 and we signed Lee Marshall for £650,000. Remember him being described as a "utility" player. Not sure I ever deviated from 302 football menu page really.

 

Always used to cheat at Teletext's Bamboozle, too. three wrong answers went to one page code, the right went to the other, so pressing the colours made it easy to work out which one was correct.
