Abuse!  Absolutely fine with people not being a fan of the stuff, everyone has different tastes/interests. I'm just a twenty something lad trying to make a living out of a hobby I enjoy, if that annoys you then it says an awful lot more about you than it does me!

If you want to make a decent fist of it, get yourself some audio equipment and podcast. Even if you get a few dozen listeners weekly, you can monetise a bit by doing local, targeted advertising plugs and read them yourself. Pretty much the way forward.

Bit of a shameless plug really, but I have wanted to do this for months. I've created a Leicester City newsletter on Substack. This is probably the worst time to start an LCFC blog, what with no football on for nearly three months. However, with cash rumoured to be thin on the ground I'm hoping that we revive our interest in 48-year-old Nicky Maynard once more so I have something to write about over the summer 

 

In all seriousness, It’s essentially a newsletter discussing all things involving Leicester City. I will create a variety of different content from features, opinion and tactical insight. I’ll also incorporate humour whilst hopefully make it informative, fun and enjoyable to read. Whether it's remembering former players (for good or bad reasons), or anniversaries of key events in our history, I'll be sure to have it covered. Also very happy to hear any requests for articles they want discussed. 

 

I'll be looking to publish 1/2 articles a week, one paid and one free article. Only an email address is required to subscribe, with the option to be a free subscriber or chuck £4 a month if you're comfortable with doing so, something that I would be incredibly grateful for. The eventual aim is to build a decent sized dedicated readership and be able to make this a full-time thing... Easier said than done though!

 

The first piece is on James Maddison and his failure to make Southgate's latest England squad.

Good luck mate - I actually quite like substack (if you ignore the mad conspiracy stuff on there!).  Good way of producing thoughtful pieces for people who are genuinely interested in what you have to say.  I'll sign up.

Yeah, had never used it before a few weeks, but has some good content on there. Will produce a range of stuff, covering 90’s and 00’s incidents, notable transfers and events seeing as there’s no real football on until August.

As transfer news is very thin on the ground, thought that I'd write something about memorable transfer sagas - preferably players where the transfer never happened. From the top of my head, I can think of Charles Aranguiz, Nicky Maynard and Jimmy Kebe. There will be plenty more, so I thought I'd ask which ones are your favourites?

Was David Bell not quite decent!? Maybe it says more about the time and the other players around. I mean his 6 appearances & 0 goals aren't much to shout about but I am sure he was pretty good
