Hi Guys,

Sorry for always coming on here with car problems but you guys seem to always know your stuff.

So, I was dropping my Mum and Sister at the airport and they needed to get their suitcase out my boot. Easy enough I thought and told them press the button in the middle and it will open. After watching shuffling in the middle for a while and nothing happening I get out to see how they could be doing this wrong.

I press the button and it opens first time with ease. I was completely unsure what they had tried to do until I got back in the car put it in reverse and my rear camera now looked liked the beginning of a Bond movie. They had pushed the lens and so hard that it had gone inside its holder.

Seems to be working fine but just with a lot of black edges and a small circle of the outside world in the middle. I wanted to ask how easy it is to get into the plastic that holds the lens and move it back into place as I dread what it would cost to get someone else to do it?

I wondered if I could get some kind of small suction tool that could grip the lens and then I could pull it back forward?

All advice is gratefully received as always.

 Thanks

I'm not sure this video is any help at all.  It might give you an idea?

I'm generally of the opinion that it was fitted.  All I've got to do is work out how & reverse the process.

Fixed quite easily. I wasn’t expecting that.

Fixing something, especially something you don't consider yourself especially skilled in, is the best feeling, isn't it?
