I've never had to restart my ST card.

I bet your phone has never packed up just when you get to the gate either.

I wouldn't know as I don't need it at the gate but it has failed me a couple of times elsewhere.

I cannot believe in 25 years it's not worked for you, you are surely a complete anomaly.

Physical tickets have not worked for me loads, lost the card tonnes of times and had to go to the ticket office to get a paper replacement, pay the fee for a new card etc...

Maybe need to see a Dr if you regularly   lose things that easily  could be an early stage of dementia

I must be just incredibly lucky then. Thought you said you had no issues with NFT in another post?

You have just as much of a chance that you lose your wallet or have it stolen than your phone not working too.

My mum who's 75 been a season ticket holder for over 40 years she hasn't  got and don't want a smart phone do you think she should no longer be able to attend matches?

She can keep her card and not pay the £25. Over 65s can keep their card for free, which is fair. 98-99% of people in the UK under 65 have a smartphone though, so wouldn't have a problem with having their season ticket on their phone.

Well they haven’t done that yet, so let’s cross that bridge if they ever do.

A very cheap second hand smartphone on pay as you go, just to be used to get into the game could be an easy option if needed though.

Not really the point though why should you need to own a phone just to attend a football match?

It’s like saying why should you need to have a debit or credit card to buy things in many places?
Sometimes things just change and develop in life. 99% of people shouldn’t be affected anyway and like I said before, it currently doesn’t affect your mum anyway.

I think you're missing the point here.

Once-upon-a-time the Club treated you as a supporter; now they just seem to view us as a "Customer".

Some of us will say "fine, but just treat us as valued customers then ... and for my £500 Season Ticket, I'd like a card please.   It's not much to ask".

I get the feeling it really is more to do with the principle, of being treated like  s h i t,  and not even being given a basic reasonable choice.
