Talks have broken down between Middlesbrough and Leicester City first team coach Adam Sadler, according to a report.

Sadler was said to be close to joining Boro, who have now confirmed Manchester United hero Michael Carrick as their new head coach. The Newcastle-born coach seemed set for a return to the north east, but will now seemingly be staying in the Midlands.

The Northern Echo's Scott Wilson reported this evening (Monday) that "there have been discussions over Adam Sadler, but now hearing the North-Easterner looks to be staying with Leicester." The news is a huge boost to City boss Brendan Rodgers, who values Sadler as a key member of his staff.

To be fair to Kolo, Maguire got an £80m move, Evans has been solid when not injured, Soyuncu improved massively from his first season to replace him and was good until losing his confidence/desire to be here/whatever happened to him in the Euro's. Fofana was class for us and made us a load of profit and Faes has come in and done well too. We have even won games with Wilf playing there. That's a pretty good track record with centre halves, the only real miss has been Vestegaard.
