Looking at the formation on paper it could work well for us. In defence we will have 5 players across the defensive line, Man City put in lots of crosses, so having Soyuncu able to come across and help Castagne, and Faes helping Kristiansen might help us to crowd out the wings, and if City decides to try to shift it towards the centre, we will have Tielemans, Ndidi and Dewsbury-hall filling out the midfield.
Seems like it could be a shrewd system to crowd out their play.

Just shows Smith has seen something this week with Soyoncu. The fact that Rodgers put his personal grievances before the team, and played Amartey at centre-back is criminal and unforgivable.

It's sad, we are going to lose a genuinely top player when on form, will likely go on to Spain and perform again. The only scenario where I can see Soyuncu staying is a scenario most fans probably wouldn't want. And that's Smith and Cags becoming really close/trusting of each other, and convincing Cags to sign a 12 month deal. But I think most fans would probably rather lose them both if it means going for a bit more of an exciting manager in Summer, IF we somehow stay up.

Delighted to see Cags back. Really hope he puts on a good showing.

Second time this season he’s randomly been thrown in against Man City, despite his worst games seemed to be when in a back three

I kicked off this big sporting day in style by upsetting my vegan mates with my yearly flutter on the National, picking Old Ned, Dobbin, Eeyore, Tripod and Bagobones...

(The cashier at Jennings Bet issued her annual grimace as she knew she would have to 'lay off' my 10 quid stake...)

I think I'll support England's RU women for a chance of winning something.

But would give it all up for Foxes edging it in Manchester...

Well, I got first and fourth in the National, but my OP still holds.

Not nearly as bad as we were fearing, though. Onward and upward...
