Jordan Posted 11 December 2005 Posted 11 December 2005 They're all good, if they're in bold, then I really, really like them... The Hives (of course, big commercial success)... Sahara Hotnights, Division fo Laura Lee, Love is All, SHARIF, Citizen Bird, the Jessica Fletchers... ...Is Sweden the new home of rock 'n' roll? So many good bands (actually, some good bands, then several fvckin' excellent bands) are comin' from there, they've gotta be on to something...
Jay Posted 11 December 2005 Posted 11 December 2005 must be something in the water over there!!! you can add Bombshell Rocks, Millencolin and a few other to that list!!! Burning Heart records also deserves some credit as one of the best labels around bringing through some great bands!!!
Libertine Posted 11 December 2005 Posted 11 December 2005 I've got a Hives album, never really listened to it properly to tell the truth.

I had both of their albums and thought that this Swedish music seemed pretty poor!!
Jordan Posted 11 December 2005 Author Posted 11 December 2005 Sahara Hotnights are kinda crap but they made a little splash on the rock scene--just threw them out there as an example. The new "Love is All" album comes out in January (don't know if it's been released in Europe)--based on what I've heard, I think it could be a good one. Love is All mp3s -- "Spinning and Scratching" is great.

So many good bands (actually, some good bands, then several fvckin' excellent bands) are comin' from there, they've gotta be on to something... Sweden ain't the new home of rock 'n' roll - It has been the source of some of the world's finest hardcore for many years: Shitlickers Anti Cimex Driller Killer Wolfpack Wolfbrigade Mob 47 Discard The Haunted Arch Enemy And there's plenty more...
Jordan Posted 12 December 2005 Author Posted 12 December 2005 Old school hardcore? Nice. It might be worth my while to try to find songs from those groups.
