His options are extremely limited.

Our only hope was for him to get a move to a league which doesn't run concurrently with ours. So an MLS move for example, as we'd got a whiff of hope on, but he didn't want it apparently.

Probably didn't want it as he wouldn't earn the obscene amounts he earns now. Like I said, he'll be happy to be paid to do nothing for us.
