We’d all love to see more youth get into the first team. But let’s be realistic. Ben Nelson may well be in our first eleven next year. It’s great that Alves is getting minutes at Cardiff and I hope he steps up, but he still has a lot to prove. None of our other loaned players are likely to make the grade. Then we’re reaching down to the likes of Monga (if he’s still with us) and Evans, who are basically still schoolboys. 
 

I understand the attraction in the romantic idea of jettisoning the ‘shite’ and bringing kids in, but I suspect the novelty will

wear off pretty quickly when we’re losing every week and hurtling towards the third division. Yes, we need to integrate youth and provide a clear pathway for talented youngsters, but solely relying on that strategy would sink us rapidly into obscurity.

No chance of a points reduction.  Previous sales of players were done and accounted in a way that legally so far have been compliant with the rules.

 

As for embargo it looks like we won't get one either.

• If a Club fails to provide the required information in relation to Profitability & Sustainability rules, then they will be subject to an Embargo.
• Clubs that don’t forecast to breach the Upper Loss Threshold within their submissions – but only on the basis of future receipts – will also be subject to an Embargo.
• Clubs that breach the Upper Loss Threshold will also be subject to an Embargo.
