So Vardy is absolutely ashamed of this season. But the owner finds time to laugh.

Top don't deserve us or our support.

Do you really think footballers give a toss. Vardy was on 140k a week. Utterly scandalous. I know he is the GOAT but he'll be off to whoever offers him the most money. Football is broken. Fans need to put their money where their mouths are and not turn up to games. I'm 58 and wish I could go back to the 70s and 80s when most players were British and they gave their all for the club they played for. Money has totally ruined the game.

100% agree with this. Anyone latching onto a no-context image and as such linking it to their delight in our demise is just plain dumb.

Did all the fans whining about this sit in a dark room crying all night as you're clearly not allowed to do anything else because of a football outcome?

disagree.

Perhaps if your just a fan who has no influence then its ok.

Top and Rudkin and anyone else in a position of responsibilty should at least have the decency to look miserable.

I don't think most of them do. But I believe Vardy cares.

Vardy’s comments about “not hiding away” - or however he phrased it today - is definitely a dig at those off the pitch.  He knows the senior management don’t say enough and just prefer to hide behind their annual email / Press Release.

Don’t get me wrong, Vardy’s not been great. No one has. But he’s nearly 40, he’s not the same Vardy anymore and he’s playing in one of the worst teams we’ve ever seen.  Even if first touch and lay-offs have been awful all season. He’ll know that he won’t play Prem football again. But at least he’s come out and said something, unlike our owners who will either urge us to renew our season tickets or tell us they’ll do another ‘inquiry’.

Obviously only your opinion counts.

Will he stay one more season on Champ wages then?

Will he?

Wonder if he will be any good if he did.

But weird.

It's clearly too little too late. A little insta post after the fact.

I’m similar to you, slightly younger and it was more the early 90s that I grew up with.

All players are now a poor version of their former incarnations.  They have no personality either.  Character wise they’re not even a patch on the footballers from the early 2000s.

I only regained my love for the sport when I stepped away from big club football and started to follow a non league team nearly 5 years ago.

There is life away from the big clubs, you don’t have to commit to the whole season and it’s easy to go with friends that can’t overly commit either.

The quality of football isn’t too far off what we had 30 years ago, not the same I get it, but a good competitive and honest level.

I wish fans from other clubs would snap out of the zombie like behaviour too but I doubt it.  The only way it changes is if supporters remove their attention from it and stop going.

Leicester literally had the perfect storm which is more of the reason why so many dislike them now.  If it weren’t for relegation, then the other gripes would have been ignored.

I’m a bit behind you having just turned 50, but I agree, the 70s and 80s and I’d extend that into the early 90s were far better in every way on the pitch.

The game has been ruined, not just by TV, the EPL and lack of British players, but also by Agents, VAR, the introduction of play offs, semi finals at Wembley and scrapping cup replays. The snobbery of some fans who sneer at the league cup too. We were delighted to lift it three times!

Money has killed in, on the pitch and in the stands, our owner won’t permit his staff to sell me a ticket for a game v Liverpool, but he would quite happily sell it to a tourist for £250 on a ticket sale platform.
