Yep sorry it’s me and that time again 🤣

I’ve now officially signed up for Prostate United 2026.

This will be my fourth consecutive year running 5km every day throughout October in support of Prostate Cancer UK, but it will also be my final Prostate United challenge.

Before I start, I just wanted to say a huge thank you to the Leicester City family.  Over the last three years, the generosity and kindness shown by so many people on FoxesTalk and across the wider Leicester City fanbase has honestly been overwhelming. Whether you’ve donated, shared my fundraising page, sent a message of encouragement or simply asked how the challenge was going, you’ve helped me more than you’ll ever know.

Thanks to your support, alongside my family, friends, colleagues, clients and Team Leicester City, we’ve raised more than £13,000 for Prostate Cancer UK. This year, I’d love to finish by taking that total beyond £20,000.

One of the highlights of last year’s challenge was having the privilege of running alongside Leicester City legend and First Team Coach, Andy King. It was a brilliant experience and a reminder of what makes our club so special. Whatever happens on the pitch, Leicester people have always looked after one another.

After four years, I feel it’s the right time to finish while I still have the motivation to give it everything. October has become a month completely dominated by running, fundraising, aching legs, early mornings and trying to convince myself that setting the alarm before work is somehow a good idea! Also after a heart to heart with my family they were very open and honest about how difficult it is for them to see the toll it takes on me, both physically and mentally, alongside my job and the everyday challenges modern life throws at us.

More importantly, I want to finish on a high and, hopefully, leave having made a lasting contribution to a cause that means so much.

The reason I keep doing this is simple. Every 45 minutes, a man loses his life to prostate cancer in the UK. If this challenge encourages just one person to understand their risk, speak to a loved one or get checked earlier, then every mile will have been worthwhile.

If you’re able to support me one last time, I’d be incredibly grateful. If not, simply sharing the page or helping spread the message could make all the difference.

Thank you once again for everything you’ve done over the last three years. The Leicester City community has been a huge part of this journey, and it would mean the world to have you alongside me for one final October.

In will share a link to my just giving fundraising page a bit nearer the time.

Now let’s see if this 52-year-old body can survive another 155 kilometres… and hopefully Leicester can make the month a little less stressful than last season!

Up the Foxes. 💙🦊
