City Fan Posted 26 September 2004 Posted 26 September 2004 Watched the goals on 'The Championship' this morning and I think that if Ian Walker had been playing, they wouldn't have scored any of their 3 goals. First goal - Fat Bastard just fell on the floor and did nothing. Second Goal - Fat Bastard 'dived' but was more of a belly flop. Third Goal - Fat Bastard parries the ball into his net. Come on Micky sort it out! He should get sacked just for getting Pressman, a fat bastard who got released by a Division 2 club, as our 2nd choice keeper! Any decent manager would have signed someone who was under 35 years old and under 35 stone. Utter Disgrace IMO.
rotherhamfox Posted 26 September 2004 Posted 26 September 2004 I dissed the fella when we signed him, but hes dun well everytime ive seen him, pulled off an amazing save just before their winner, and caught most corners that came over.
Guest Daniel Posted 26 September 2004 Posted 26 September 2004 If you actual go to matches then youd see he also kept us in the game with some amazing saves. I hated him and abused him alot before i seen him play but he's not done alot wrong and im not jumping on the boat to abuse him. Hes doing well. Keep it up Kev.
shrood Posted 26 September 2004 Posted 26 September 2004 as above, go to some bloody matches and then you'll see he was probably (apart from scowy) the best leicester player on the pitch, fake fans criticise without actually knowing what's going on pfffft
Teeno Posted 26 September 2004 Posted 26 September 2004 Bit unfair that. Like the previous two said he has played well and kept us in the game on numourous occations. Don't jump on the bandwagon especailly if you didn't go to the game. Oh and he has kept 2 clean sheets in 4 games, Walker only kept 1 in 6 .

Maybe Micky should give the young lad Conrad Logan a go. I am all for giving the youth a go as much as possible, and maybe like Tommy Wright if he could grab the bull by the horns and with the buzz of getting a first team start. You never know he may do ok.
shrood Posted 26 September 2004 Posted 26 September 2004 Personally I think a lot of the hype around wright may be originating from the fact that we're all so bloody desperate to see a decent young player on the pitch, so far I havent been too impressed with his first-team performances yet I'll admit that may be largely to do with his cameo roles as an 80th minute substitute, but we'll see, it's only sensible to give him a go but the 1st team is a big step up from the youth and resrve teams however I'll admit he showed excellent promise

They should not have been allowed to even get the crosses in, so makin and wilcox need to look at how to stop players crossing.
City Fan Posted 27 September 2004 Author Posted 27 September 2004 Im not saying it was all his fault we lost and the defending was a joke - but he should have done better with the goals they scored. Ok - maybe he saved a few good shots, but if Walker was playing, the three goals Fatty let in, wouldn't have gone in.

Walker is good but he aint superman.
TrickyTrev Posted 27 September 2004 Posted 27 September 2004 He has done better than i thought he would.
Buzzell Posted 27 September 2004 Posted 27 September 2004 He's done brilliant for us. I thought he would be a totall disaster but he's done a gRand job. You cant blame him for the goals. All 3 goals came from crosses and they were headers and the 3 players who scored were unmarked, I would blame the defence.
SilverFox Posted 27 September 2004 Posted 27 September 2004 The man has done a good job since stepping into Walkers boots. I think he has done very well and proved himself as more than capable cover. He has also made some excellent saves. Buy yourself a new pair of specs and lay off the guy! GO ON BIG KEV!
Ash Posted 27 September 2004 Posted 27 September 2004 Pressman , has done a brillaint job covering for Walkers , Im glad he played & we didnt put Logan in ! Pressmans experience has been shown in alot of the games he has played in !

I heard a rumour that Micky told him that he can have 10 pies for every save he makes....
Leicesterfan1 Posted 28 September 2004 Posted 28 September 2004 Thats 10 pies more than you've got braincells

Ash Posted 28 September 2004 Posted 28 September 2004 Sounded like he had a brillaint game for us tonight (Gillingham)
SilverFox Posted 28 September 2004 Posted 28 September 2004 Sounded like he had a brillaint game for us tonight (Gillingham) 22964[/snapback] Agreed!!! I feel really bad for the guy. He wanted to stay with Sheff Wednesday, but they really shafted him (not literally) over. He is a legend. Super Kevin Pressman!
Ash Posted 28 September 2004 Posted 28 September 2004 He was gunna sign for Sheff Utd , But we came in last minute

Ash Posted 28 September 2004 Posted 28 September 2004 Im sure Sheff Utd wanted him as a back up goalkeeper , same as us really
