SilverFox Posted 28 September 2004 Posted 28 September 2004 Im sure Sheff Utd wanted him as a back up goalkeeper , same as us really 22975 What I meant was that he already has Paddy Kenny...who is *ahem* 'big boned' ::
Cat Burger Posted 28 September 2004 Posted 28 September 2004 He'll keep Walker out at this rate and nobody should be suprised or say he hasn't deserved it.
Cobbo Posted 28 September 2004 Posted 28 September 2004 He'll keep Walker out at this rate and nobody should be suprised or say he hasn't deserved it. 22987 Well, no he won't. But well done Kev, sounded like you made some cracking saves again. Thanks

Thanks 23003 Despite the decent job Pressman's been doing, I also think Walker will be back in the starting 11 as soon as he's healthy again. Has anybody heard when that might be?
TrickyTrev Posted 29 September 2004 Posted 29 September 2004 Pressman has done well as a replacement, but he is no more than that.
City Fan Posted 2 October 2004 Author Posted 2 October 2004 The sooner Walker comes back the better....
Craig Posted 2 October 2004 Posted 2 October 2004 What was your reaction when Walker made that blunder vs Bolton? Did you doubt Walker then, or did you back him...
Anish Posted 2 October 2004 Posted 2 October 2004 What was your reaction when Walker made that blunder vs Bolton? Did you doubt Walker then, or did you back him... 23835 To be fair Walker's o.g. vs Bolton wasn't as bad as Pressman's howler today. I still don't blame Pressman for costing us 2 points, the rest of the players on the pitch should have done better.

I was more angry at players like Williams and Dublin today than Pressman. Pressman made a genuine mistake and it happens to everyone, but Dublin and Williams were poor throughout and couldn't put a foot right.
Ash Posted 2 October 2004 Posted 2 October 2004 I felt someone with Pressmans experience should atleast learnt by now that when the sun is in your eyes put a cap on !
City Fan Posted 2 October 2004 Author Posted 2 October 2004 What was your reaction when Walker made that blunder vs Bolton? Did you doubt Walker then, or did you back him... 23835 Backed him because he is a great keeper who has done really well for the club and had got us promotion the season before last. Where as Tubs is brought in (Micky Adams - what were you thinking?), not done anything for the club, hasn't built himself a reputation at the club, and apart from a few good saves, has been totally crap. He is a liability. I felt someone with Pressmans experience should atleast learnt by now that when the sun is in your eyes put a cap on ! 23846 That was just a poor excuse! Did the Preston keeper do something as stupid as that in the second half when they had changed sides? Just face it - Pressman is crap, and MA is a fool for bringing him in as a replacement.

Sure he should have done better and it was an amateur goal to concede. But saying he is "totally crap" and is a "liability" is harsh. One mistake does not make a crap goalie - otherwise there would be ZERO good goalies around.
City Fan Posted 2 October 2004 Author Posted 2 October 2004 But he made at least 2 mistakes at QPR....
Highland Posted 2 October 2004 Posted 2 October 2004 I felt someone with Pressmans experience should atleast learnt by now that when the sun is in your eyes put a cap on ! 23846 He couldn't fit it in his bag,the sarnies, pork pies, crisps and mars bars had taken all the room up.
Guest Daniel Posted 2 October 2004 Posted 2 October 2004 But he made at least 2 mistakes at QPR.... 23926 And he also made alot of excellent saves. I think you need to start going more games before slagging Pressman off, he's been very good in my eyes and one of the better signings.
davieG Posted 3 October 2004 Posted 3 October 2004 I felt someone with Pressmans experience should atleast learnt by now that when the sun is in your eyes put a cap on ! 23846 Why would that have prevented him from slipping over, that was why he missed the ball, the sun didn't cause him to slip. Whether he's good or bad cannot be based on a simple accident that could happen to any player.
Leicester_Mad Posted 3 October 2004 Posted 3 October 2004 he basically won us the game down at Gillingham with 2 breath taking first half saves and then a wonder save in the 2nd half just before Heath scored. He made an amateur mistake which could happen to anyone. Be greatful he is one of the few players that look like they actually want to play for the club not just the money!
