Is Micky Adams the right man to take Leicester City forward?

Please construct your replies in a reasoned and civil manner. Also, I don't want any arguments in reply to other messages on this thread. It's purely a thread to obtain people's views on the matter without the influence of other's.

One word to answer that question is 'NO' and in most cases some justification for my answer would be needed, but I honestly don't think anyone needs to justify their opinions of the current shambles at Leicester.

I've been a fan for 14 years and never, ever experienced anything like this before. It's bizarre and surreal, it reminds me of an derelict warehouse with a few tidy pieces of equipment still knocking around in there and an absolute arsehole of a security guard who is the only one who think's it's necessary to keep guarding the place. I'll leave you to put names to the props in my above analogy.

There's no passion, pride or commitment from any aspects of our club. There is no life left at this club, the manager is clueless and the players are deflated. There's no inspiration, no leadership and no respect from the players, management and the board. Micky Adams has got a more than capable squad at his disposal, yet nearly every single one of them are under performing. I just can't take that on board, it's too much to stomach. Can a manager really have that effect on the players? Can a bunch of players deliberately play badly for a manager? Are they just mercenaries or is there another explanation for this abysmal situation we are in.

Micky Adams is a dead man walking, he isn't even bothered anymore. If you honestly asked him where he see's himself in a year's time, he'd tell you himself it wouldn't be at Leicester. So he needs to not prolonge this pain anymore for himself, the players and the fans. He needs to claim back that little bit of pride he might have left and hold his hands up, accept that things have got in a right old mess that are beyond repair under the current management. I think if he does that, the fans will bear no grudge against him. At the end of the day, Micky Adams did brilliantly for us in that first season in charge and the fans will always be grateful to him for that, but that doesn't mean you are guaranteed a job for life and with the way things are going wrong I can't see how he can turn things around.

There are so many things that are worng at the minute and Micky doesn't appear to have the tactical nouse to sort them out. He gets defensive and to be honest quite childish in the way he acts. Sacking Keown is a perfect example of how Micky Adams thoughts have got clouded and how unreasonable he has got and no manager whoever they are should be allowed to carry on if they can't rationalise with people. How can you command any respect if you don't respect other people and how can you command respect if you fail to lay the law down regarding discipline, yet any person daring to question certain things gets shown the door. Martin Keown has quite rightly got concerned about the goings on at this club, and instead of Micky listening to what Keown has to say and sort the matter out he's used the old trick of saying the player has undermined the manager and he has to go. No, second chance, no nothing for a player of Keown's status and ability. It just doesn't make sense, why cut your nose off to spite your face? Keown is one of our best players and a player that could help sort this mess out, but Squire Adams doesn't want to know. This is yet another nail in his own coffin, infact he's well on his way to his fifth coffin, he's nailed in that many nails.

He's got to go before it's too late. We still have a chance of going up if he goes now, we have enough quality players to mug this league while the chance is still there. A brave decision needs to be made by the board, forget the money you have to speculate to accumulate. We can easily get promoted if he goes now, which will pay off Mickeh's contract. Anyway just defer the payment until the summer, he's well used to that.

Cheers for all you've done Michael, but you've gone too far now mate. Your a joke and everybody know's it. Have a clean start, re-build yourself and stop pretending to be soemthing your not.

Adams Out Now.

Thanks Hoof.

Anyone else like to have a go and see their message on the website?

Micky Adams has done alot good for this football club, sadly not since the start of the last season. Since then it has been arrogance, denial, bad tatics, poor subtitutions, some awful signings, bad man management etc etc.

It's time for a change, time for someone to kick this talented squad into shape. "Who?" I hear you cry, well i have no idea but I know that there are good managers out there who will do a better job than Micky.

Should Micky remain Leicester manager til the end of the season I'm certain we won't get promoted, instead we will become a average Championship side with no money.

Thanks for all the good you have done Micky but enough is enough, we need a new man to take us forward and back to the Premiership........that man is not you.

Everything end's, it's the way things go.

Whilst Adams has not had an easy time at Leicester, events have not conspired against him as much as he would like us to believe.

A side once famed for its never say die attitude, and for upsetting the odds has quickly become a side where a 2 goal cushion going into injury time will not guarantee a victory.

We are devoid of spirit, ideas, and respect.

Whilst I thank Mr Adams for the 2002-2003 season, I am now wondering if the off-field problems galvanised the squad enough to gain promotion by itself.

Please leave now before my opinion of you deteriorates further, Micky.

Micky Adams has has a turbulent time at Leicester, agreed. He was rightly heralded for his achievements in his first season in charge, he completely turned this sinking ship of a club around and brought optimism and hope to the fans. Gone were the nightmares that we experienced when Peter Taylor was in charge, and the players were rejuvenated under his managership. He brought in a number of good strong players that has something to prove, most notably Paul Dickov and Brian Deane. We took to the First Division like a duck to water, and Micky Adams was a huge part of this success story.

However, one fantastic season (through the trauma of administration and pay deferrals) should not detract from the position we are in now, and the way this club has been run for the last two seasons. We have seen a massive turnover of players, with at least 10 walking in and out of the doors each of the last two seasons. This is more than the likes of Chelsea, but unlike them, we have accumulated a bunch of has-beens and never-will-bes that are doing no good for the club. Trawl through the list of Scimeca, Howey, Curtis, Rogers, Dublin, Blake, Gillespie, Morris, and even the likes of Thatcher and Bent. All these players came to LCFC and have either disappointed us badly or have left for pastures new- for whatever reason. We as fans will not be able to form any emotional ties with players under Micky Adams, because of his short term thinking and lack of regard for team spirit.

Finally, Micky Adams has shown this season that he is making the same mistakes over and over again. He appears to be stubborn and ignorant, and most of us fans can see that things are not going to improve if Adams continues in charge. Our inability to hold on to leads has been prevalent throughout Adams's reign, from his very first game in charge away at Everton where we threw away a 2-0 lead, through to the last debacle at home to Preston. Long gone are the days of when Leicester used to be the team that came back from the jaws of defeat to snatch an equaliser. The slogan "Foxes Never Quit" is an absolute joke under Micky Adams, and I'm afraid to say that he needs to be shown the door.
