Surely theres some one else out there that would do a better job than him. He and Martyn Tyler are in differnet leagues in my view. England win comftably but come on, i've still got to find something to have a moan about!

Pearce is the best of a bad bunch at the BBC at the moment - with commentators like Steve Wilson and Tony Gubba they need to get some fresh talent. Step up Alan Green.

I am a commentator for the future btw and that's what I hope to become. That or a football journalist so look out for me in the future. Remember the name, Jon Smith!

That'd be a good start and the advice I was given by a careers agency was to continually write to radio stations like Radio Leicester and ask if I could just watch what presenters do and things like that. I'm a bit shy which could be a problem when commentating but hopefully in time I'll come out of my shell a bit more and will be able to get a job in the media. Scowy, how did you get started?
