how long to come back up?

6 defeats in a row!

only 2 goals in 6 games?

relegation certainties especially as the players look beaten whenever the other side score. our gutless board will not sack him?? so how long will it take us to get back from div 1 and how many players will be left/

sheff wed took 5? seasons.

aston villa in the 70s took more than one.

wolves reached the depths of 92 place if memory server me right.

carlisle/swansea both once top of the old 1st div have never returned.

presumably squad will have to be cut.

all out of contract players released and what about the repayments on the ground? the 1 million extra from wigan will be swallowed up in debt repayment so presumably no transfer money available.

of the remaining players stearman certain to be sold and probably hume and fryatt who were both wanted by other clubs. mccarthy also likely to be snapped up. doesn't look too good.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe Sheff Wed took two seasons. I think they did badly in their first season then Sturrock took over just before Christmas in the secon (or maybe the third but no more than that) then took essentially the same group of players up through the play offs. Just shows what a good manager can do without loads of signings.

The more I listen to Levein the more I get the impression that he and the board have written off this season and fully expect to be in League One next year.

Maybe that's how their thinking....a season or so in League One to rebuild the team, let the youngsters gain some experience blah blah blah......

If that's what they are aiming for... they are right on target :P

With these players alone we will be down for several years. We have to reverse this ridiculous obsession with young players. You'll get nowhere with kids alone. We have to get three or four seriously experienced old pro's to assist the best ones. We need a seriously experienced manager with a knowledge of that level of football to replace this idiot. No doubt it will be more kick, bollock and bite than the Championship and the current crop of players are more likely to take us down another division rather than come back up immediately. If the above happens there is no reason that we cannot return stronger than ever.

If we go down we won't come back. We don't have someone like Nigel Doghety (forest bloke) to pump money into the club it would spell the end that's why I'm so worried.

Remember Man City! they kept ging down for 3 seasons!

Man city still had up to 40,000 watching them in the old division 2 and still had relative amounts of money we will be playing infront of crowds of 14000, 15,000 with no cash what so ever.

If we go down, I fear we'll never be able to get back up. The club would survive - just.

We must not go down, simple as.
