Birch'sLeftBoot Posted 11 February 2006 Share Posted 11 February 2006 Here's dream positivity: "After flirting with the relegation zone and rallying to safety last season, Leicester City have been promoted to the Premiership today following a dramatic 3-2 win over rivals Stoke City, ensuring their place at the second spot in the table and automatic promotion. Foxes boss XXX said the twin goals of Matty Fryatt were the key, and ensured their cruise to dominance in the second half. Upon promotion, City will be joined by Wolves and Nottingham Forest, who were granted automatic promotion from League 1 following news that Pierre van Hooijdonk and Stan Collymore had been behind a plot with Ulrike Jonnson and Sven Goran to keep township teams out of the top flight so that he could fish for Premiership jobs in illustrious cities upon his sacking with England. They will be taking the place of Wigan, Charlton, and Sheffield Utd., who will drop to D3 after a bung scandal involving Neil Warnock and horse racing." And then five-10 months later... "...Leicester City have shocked the footballing world by stunning Atheltico Madrid in Champons League action by posting the largest goal difference victory in Cup history. The 11-2 romp featured 7 goals between Matty Fryatt and strike partner Marlon Harewood, who joined the Foxes from West Ham Utd this season due to 'better fans and better colors'. The victory ensured City's place in the final, and brings them an estimated 13 million pound financial windfall." One can dream, right???
