Royal Rumble 2006

I watched it - overall some good points but three things left a sour taste in my mouth:-

1) Edge losing the title - Cena was just getting some momentum chasing the belt and Edge had made Raw a bit more interesting.

2) The Rumble match not being on last - as the pinacle of the show it always would be (cheap ring breaking effect or not!)

3) Undertaker - Why does he disapear for months at a time just to return at the end of a ppv (Survivor series/Rumble) to set up a match at the next ppv and then disapear again!

On a plus note loved Cenas entrance and Rey winning the Rumble!

I thought the actual Rumble was good but the individual matches were the worst ever. Godd to see Mysterio get his chance though.

Yes it was. The problem is with the Rumble lasting 1 hour minimum then they do not have much time to get anything-else in, they had too many other matches. Should have just had the two main title matches and the rumble. (Although giving Mark Henry longer would be criminal)

I watched it when I was about 10 mate. Don't see the appeal of fat muscle men who can't act pretending to fight. Absolute b******s in MY opinion.

It's actually simulated fighting and some of the injuries these blokes get are horrendous so not as fake as you niavely think.

Agree with that  , although i haven't watched it myself for about 3 years. It's the kind of thing you have to watch religiously and i just don't get the chance to watch anymore

I only really watch the big events like the Rumble and Wrestlemania to be honest as week to week it's a bit samey.

I watch RAW most weeks - although must admit it does seem to be getting samey - each match they have its like you have seen it 100's of times before.

It's better to go and watch LIVE. Have been to Nottingham Arena twice for RAW and Smackdown. It's good value at £16 for 3 hours entertainment and you can drink alcohol within the arena, besides it's not far away from Hooters bar :)

Yea - i went there last year - thinking of going when they come back in April - i know i took a pint into the arena area expecting it to be taken off me (like if you put one foot on the stairs at leicester) and they did not say anything - then the guy next to me sent his wife to get the round in for us!!

I watched this years as i do every year. It's become a tradition since i was a lickle un. I know less and less of the wrestlers every year as the rumble is the only event i actually watch. Jolly entertaining.

i still fade in and out of it. i got hooked again after last years rumble and fell out with it again at around summerslam. good to see edge back with a decent shot instead of being a heel. his injury last year nearly forced his retirement.
