City to go to India next year? (24/10/04)

Who's up for a jolly to India next summer then?

Our partner site in India, eastbengalfc.com have had it confirmed by officials at the Indian club that City are looking at going over to play a tournament in India next summer.

East Bengal club secretary Kalyan Mazumdar said,

“Leicester City Football Club wants to play with East Bengal in Kolkata next year, likely May or June.

"But you know, May – June is very hot in Kolkata, and lots of modern facilities are needed to organize such an international tournament.

"We have benefited very much from this tie up. It has been a really good one for usâ€Â

That's be a new ground for us all, eh?

This is a good idea, there has been more asin support at the stadium, i have noticed. This is keeping with the clubs aim to have more asian supporters.

East Bengal at the salt lake stadium it is the 3rd largest football stadia in the world, figures from this website http://www.globalstadia.com/top.html

They get capacity crowds every games, 120 k. 98k more then us on average. Why say its a shit ground, looks pretty impressive to me. Sometimes i do not understand your absurd comments.

It would probably be another sell-out with and Indian team playing an English team. That team being Leicester, which has the biggest Indian population in one English city. (from what i've heard)

Don't let the Club anywhere near this as they will try to rip us off as they did when we went to Spain. <_<
