Knighton Matt Posted 4 April 2006 Posted 4 April 2006 Poor man's James Beattie in my opinion and agreed far too late and unproven at this level to merit a place in the squad.
Nationwider Posted 4 April 2006 Posted 4 April 2006 If Owen doesn't make it, he's in with an outside chance. Strong possibility of him going to the Toon in the summer. West Ham could make a tidy profit out of that.
City Fan Posted 4 April 2006 Posted 4 April 2006 I think the 4 strikers should be Rooney, Owen, Bent and Ashton!
Ultra Posted 5 April 2006 Posted 5 April 2006 What about Defoe? If he's fit, he'd be very unlucky to miss out. And Sven clearly rates him and Peter Crouch, even if others don't!
martyn Posted 5 April 2006 Posted 5 April 2006 Any sensible person realises that Crouch should go to the world cup.
Guest Gist Posted 6 April 2006 Posted 6 April 2006 I think Crouch should definetly go to the world cup he might not score many goals but he can offer his height unlike the other strikers.
Syko Posted 6 April 2006 Posted 6 April 2006 he's still scored loads of goal for liverpool and you see him cause the problems as no-one can touch him in the air
DaveyJ Posted 10 April 2006 Posted 10 April 2006 I think Crouch should definetly go to the world cup he might not score many goals but he can offer his height unlike the other strikers. Id much prefer Ashton over Crouch. Crouch has got hight but he's not that good at heading. Ashton has scored some wonderful goals and adjusted quickly to the premiership, although I think it is a little late for him getting a world cup place.
