fosseman Posted 7 April 2006 Share Posted 7 April 2006 Hopefully with Rob at the helm, I genuinely see no reason why we can't push for automatics, if not playoffs surely... Only if we learn to defend set pieces and Rob sorts out our underperforming midfield.
Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 7 April 2006 Author Share Posted 7 April 2006 With Williams playing the best we've seen, Weso in to replace Joey, Hughesy being played anywhere but on the wings, and a little bit of tweaking I'm full of optimism...!
Leicester_Mad Posted 7 April 2006 Share Posted 7 April 2006 i'd expect a top 10, but we still need a few new players. A new goalkeeper, a new Left Back, a new central midfielder (Williams just doesnt do it for me) and a new winger (preferabbly 2 - 1 for each side). If we can keep hold of our strikers then we should have a great base for next year. Im expecting automatic promotion in 2 seasons, not next
Ric Flair Posted 7 April 2006 Share Posted 7 April 2006 If we can sign the right sort of players in the summer to take us up a level then i'll be quietly confident that we can do much better than this season but I can't honestly say i'm optimistic of us being promotion candidates next season. Rob Kelly is a very inexperienced manager and it's too early to forecast whether he's good enough to make us promotion hopefuls. Over a whole season does he have enough about him to come through a rough patch without it ruining our season? Does he have an eye for a good player in the transfer market? Will he learn from any mistakes he might make (something neither Adams or Levein could), will he always keep the same team unless he's forced to change things? I like Rob and think he deserves a chance full-time, but I don't expect or think we'll be top 6 next season but we should give ourselves a chance of getting there or there abouts wit the quality we do have in certain areas. john_lcfc Posted 7 April 2006 Share Posted 7 April 2006 if lcfc achieved play off position next season that would be a massive success
