i think williams is playing better now than he was, hes one of those who doesnt do a huge amount, but sometimes he does things that can change the game...and that goal against norwich was quality!!

Those shots against norwich and bolton were shocking.

2 strikes in how many games. we lost both games mate!! really helped the team! he plays well for about 20 mins of a game then fades out for the rest. if you watch him mate you will see. he is just an average championship player. no better!!!

Williams and Hughes together in the centre would never work on a consistent basis because both of their games are based around them being on form because they are finesse players rather than battlers. But when we need someone to unlock a team and put us in the driving seat then these two are capable of doing this.

Gudjonsson is more of a battler, yet he again has his games where he is woeful. He's had a fantastic season compared to last season and his goals have been a massive help to us because without them, our midfield would have scored a combined total of 6 goals, which probably would have relegated us.

If Wesolowski can overcome his injury problems, which I think he can and we can give him the contract that he deserves then Weso, Williams and Hughes can be a terrific midfield trio. Wesolowski will never let anyone down, he'll play consistently almost every match, if Williams can be motivated (remember we've seen resurgances in his game a few times before, such as the early era of Levein) and Hughes can also stay injury free and get in scoring positions then we'll look more dominating next season. If we could also sign a replacement for Gudjonsson (Mark Jones from Wrexham or Neil Danns from Colchester for me) then i'd be very confident of a decent season next season.

2 new wingers aswell and i'll do a little jig.

True mate. Williams is not needed here. We should sell and buy a new midfielder that can give 100%.

Dead right. Sign another track-em-and-whack-em type. Who needs anyone creative?. Team's been shit since he came back. We'd have got all 18 points from the six games if he'd been trying, instead of a measly 13. How did we survive against all those top-end teams with 10 men per game and Williams' occasional flourish. It must have been down to Rob Kelly: Specialist in Management Miracles.

He isn't that bad and on his day he can have a good game.

I'm sorry, but if Williams keeps playing the way he has been playing then we won't find a better player than him for nothing. If a team comes in with a sizeable offer for him then that's a different matter as we could do with some funds to strengthen our team but everyone knows Williams has the talent and he's been showing it recently, if he continues to do so then we've got a very good player. Alongside Wesolowski it's potentially a superb partnership, but i'll not get my hopes up just yet.

 Exactly. And I'm sure that Williams will continue to enjoy his football now he seems tp be playing for someone who believes in what he has to offer and has encouraged him to provide it in a more effective manner.

Even as a big critic of Williams, I can say his contribution has increased over the last few games and I'm happy to see him continue, however I'm yet to be convinced of a change in his demenour, he had good spells at Nottingham (new contract coming up) as well as with Adams & Levein but did not sustain them and slipped back into his old ways. If Rob can continue to get improvement from him , I don't don't necessarily mean the 'rough' stuff but more being available/involved in the game then long may he continue.
