Warnock...

Former Scarborough boss Neil Warnock believes the club has a bright future after they secured a deal to build a new stadium and wipe out £1.5m debts.

The Sheffield United manager enjoyed a successful spell at Scarborough, taking them into the Football League in 1987.

And he was delighted to hear that their long-term future appears to be safe.

"I think they've steadied the ship now. They're doing well on the field and to get their own ground can only do wonders for them," he told BBC Sport.

"I've been in touch and spoke to their chairman a number times as it's a club that's very close to my heart.

"They've had a lot of problems and it's a big step forward.

"While I was there we could never get permission for a new stadium because there was a covenant preventing us so they've obviously overcome that with the local council.

"It's great news because a club without any debt always has a chance.

"They just need to be careful now and make sure they don't fritter it away, but I don't think they will because they are run on a very level head.

"I've still got great memories of Scarborough and always will have and it's good to see they are on their way back."

Didn't he call us immoral for wiping out our debts?

The guy is an arrogant arsehole, possibly IMO the most hateful man in football. Grade A Tosser !

What he said about us two years ago were just pure sour grapes because we pissed all over them to get second place and it really naffed him off bitter twat.

Apparently, he's a decent bloke in person according to a certain poster on this board.

Well none of us will ever get to meet him personally (or want to for that matter) so we'll stick to abusing him about his footballing opinions <_<

Do you actually rate him as a manager though ?

He's alright, I wouldn't ever want him managing Leicester though. I don't think he has managerial talent, but he is possibly a good motivator.

He's a cock though

Not really - he's done nothing noteworthy. Sure a few good wins in the cups taking them to the semis was a good achievement, but I'm sure most Sheff Utd fans would have preferred promotion.
