Leicester Rule! Posted 17 April 2006 Share Posted 17 April 2006 Rumours are that Ledley King (Tottenham) has broken huis ankle and is going to miss the world cup. Is this a major loss and will affect the chances of winning the cup for the 1st time since 1966!??
Nationwider Posted 17 April 2006 Share Posted 17 April 2006 Not really, although it'll be a pain in the arse if he does miss out. I don't think King would have started game 1, although who knows what hair-brained schemes Sven is cooking up. The only major losses IMO would be Rooney, Owen, Gerrard or Robinson. Lampard and Terry would be missed too. We could get by without the odd player, but the first four would be hard to replace.
Bert Posted 17 April 2006 Share Posted 17 April 2006 Be a big loss 'cos he is good for team spirit as the England players are very close and he is very versatile.
TrickyTrev Posted 18 April 2006 Share Posted 18 April 2006 Its a shame because he is a more than useful player, but we'll cope. I doubt he would have started a game.
