The Don Posted 24 April 2006 Posted 24 April 2006 For me it was definitely the best of the season. Noise in the kop was awsome - some of the old favorite songs were back. Mexican wave - that everyone in the ground did - including directors box and away fans. Great day. Wish every game had atmosphere like that - you could tell the players made an extra effort. Especially nils who was emmense.
Jamesino_LCFC Posted 24 April 2006 Posted 24 April 2006 Yer it was strange though because for 70 minutes the Kop never really got going, often singing on my own or with a few others above me. It was around the 75th minute that the mexican wave started and from there it was brilliant, a new chant every time the wave went a full lap around the ground. Strange, but brilliant. Lets have that and better for next season people!!
Milky Posted 24 April 2006 Posted 24 April 2006 it took a while to get the wave going, it's always nice to hear a good boo and a chant of "boring boring bs tards". it was more of a jokey friendly atmosphere, the pressure was off, the sun was sort of out and people just wanted to have a relaxing time. a nice end of season atmosphere
