foxes_fan Posted 7 May 2006 Posted 7 May 2006 Just moved into a new flat, but i doesn't have an aerial on the roof, so i am having to use one of those shitty indoor ones, so was wondering if anyone knew how much it would cost to have one put on the roof, i also want to get freeview, and do i neeed a specefic aerial for that?
Unit Posted 7 May 2006 Posted 7 May 2006 Not sure about the cost but for freeview you just plug it into your normal T.V aerial.

You can get them from Argos for about £35 for a decent one (you could get a standard one for £20 if you shopped around) Depending on how strong your signal area is, you might also need a signal booster If you've got a loft, then it would be easier to get yourself up there and fix it yourself.
loz Posted 7 May 2006 Posted 7 May 2006 my parents were going to put freeview in my room but the aerial wasnt good enough outside. and one of my mates had to have a new aerial to get freeview
The People's Hero Posted 7 May 2006 Posted 7 May 2006 My aerial is shit and as a result my freeview is shit. Everything is shit.
Newcastle_Fox Posted 7 May 2006 Posted 7 May 2006 Having one of these bad boys in my garden tends to help me recieve freeview ok

Rincewind Posted 8 May 2006 Posted 8 May 2006 I was in the shakespears Head the other day and the landlady was trying to get some quotes for areal installation £120-£250 were the figures she was being quoted. That would include the cost of the areal I wouild imagine.
