Scow Posted 3 November 2004 Posted 3 November 2004 Pressman 5 - Howler for the goal, wasn't tested much. Canero 8 - MOM, got forward and supported Gillespie well. Defended excellently too. Heath 7 - Solid, won everything in the air and dealt with Ashton comfortably. Dabizas 6 - A few dodgy moments, generally Ok. Tiatto 4 - Worst game in a City shirt, too rash, defensively inept, committed himself far too early to tackles, and exposed the defence for the first goal. Gillepsie 4 - Generally woeful, can't remember a decent cross from him, poor set pieces, lacked effort at times. Nalis 7 - Great first goal on the half volley. Battled well in midfield and linked up well with Joey. Gudjonsson 7 - Good burst from midfield for the goal. Got forward when he could and passed it extremely well to the flanks. Very energetic. Stewart 6 - Still manages to nutmeg himself far too often, but did deliver a few decent crosses. Connolly 6 - Unlucky with two efforts that hit the post. Build up play was generally neat and tidy as usual, linked up well with Scowcroft. Scowcroft 7 - Looked impressive with his holding up of the ball and neat touches. Had a few efforts on goal that were off target, but his link up play with Connolly looked promising. Certainly better than Dublin. Morris (sub) 6 - Came on, looked short on match fitness obviously, but was lively, got in a few crosses.

That man will never be able to defend as long as he has got a hole in his arse.
Anish Posted 3 November 2004 Posted 3 November 2004 Great to hear Canero having a good game. He deserves his chance and I'm glad he made the most of it yesterday.

Ric Flair Posted 3 November 2004 Posted 3 November 2004 Pressman 5 - The bubble has finally burst, but what can we expect he was free. Canero 8* - Superb performance, he was everywhere down the right. Dabizas 5 - Crap as always. Levein get rid please. Heath 6 - Steady performance, still worries me at times though. Tiatto 5 - He is human after all, looked awful tonight but i'm sure it's a one off. Gillespie 5 - Oh dear, didn't take his chance tonight. Bye then. Gudjonsson 8 - Thought Joey was excellent tonight, good finish and some quality passing. Nalis 7 - Great goal, another consistent game from tarzan. His energy his an asset. Stewart 6 - Not his best game for us, but not his worst. Some decent crosses, still a menace at times though. Connolly 7 - Good input, but whens it going to happen? How many chances do you need? Scowcroft 7 - Linked up well with Dave, back to where he belongs upfront. Shady shooting though. Subs: Morris 6 - Hoooraaaaaaay!!! Atlast he plays, looked lively.

King Kyle lcfc Posted 3 November 2004 Posted 3 November 2004 As i didn't go to the game i cant really comment but according to the radio Gillespie played like he did when he was with Newcastle the commantators or should i say tators couldn't stop praising him till near the end wen they said he was Knackered just goes to show you never to trust the media if he was awful like you all said. Do you think Tiatto played badly because he was left Back he likes to follow the ball alot and be everywhere but you cant do that with defensive responsibilities. would everyone swap Tiatto and stewart round as we dont have many other options.
Alexikokopops Posted 3 November 2004 Posted 3 November 2004 Good to hear Connolly and Scowy seem to be linking up well, and Canero have a good match.
Ash Posted 3 November 2004 Author Posted 3 November 2004 True_Blue,Tiatto was awful , How come you rated him a 9 ?

Guest Daniel Posted 3 November 2004 Posted 3 November 2004 I thought tiatto played very well and gave 110% as usual. Couldnt knock his commitment at all, the main thing that let him down was that ball over the top to Scowcroft he was trying everytime and it not working, kind of annoyed me abit about him. Gillespie was shit so it sounds like the commentators cock up yet again.
Oli Posted 3 November 2004 Posted 3 November 2004 Tiatto was superb, he didnt give up on anything. Kept evcerything in. I think you were watching a different game;)
