davieG Posted 7 November 2004 Posted 7 November 2004 Levein has said that Walker won't be back in training until next week I think, so I very much doubt he'll play against Coventry. I thought he was already back in training, so I'm a bit baffled by that. 33927 I think I read somewhere that he has an injury that really requires an operation but that would put him out for the whole season, they are trying to see if they can 'manage' the injury by external treatment to keep him going, doesn't look like it's working as he was supposed to be ready for Bassetts first or second game.
Jonbluefox9 Posted 7 November 2004 Posted 7 November 2004 Well as Scowy said, he has already started training after his knee injury but it seems that he's out again now.
Ric Flair Posted 8 November 2004 Posted 8 November 2004 I think he'll be out for the season which isn't good! I think Pressman is an able deputy though, but we might well have seen Walker's last game for Leicester.
Guest Posted 8 November 2004 Posted 8 November 2004 I'm not surprised that there's confusion over Walker's fitness; the previous regime constantly kept us in the dark over injuries. They'd issue the 'official' injury list on the website, yet fail to mention various players who we would later find out would be unavailable for weeks.
Anish Posted 8 November 2004 Posted 8 November 2004 I was impressed by Pressman's shotstopping tonight - although there were a few heart in mouth moments when Pressman got a pass back!
Ash Posted 8 November 2004 Posted 8 November 2004 Yes Pressman made some good saves tonight "Fat Bastard but he's 2-0 up,Fat Bastard but he's 2-0 up " Loved it when we sang that
Jonbluefox9 Posted 8 November 2004 Posted 8 November 2004 What a save in the second half by him. Oh and a classic moment when he bent down to pick the ball up and teased the striker to try and kick but he snatched it away at the last minute. Fatty for England!!!

Shum Posted 9 November 2004 Posted 9 November 2004 To be fair, his kicking was pretty solid last night too! Shame if Walks is out for the season though, he will deffo move on in the summer.
dan_84 Posted 15 November 2004 Author Posted 15 November 2004 First things first im not trying to slag Pressman off but i really think we need to get walker back in our goal. Pressman has cost us 9-12 points at least, with the games at Preston, Ipswich, and Crewe. and even possibly QPR.I thought Walker was going to be fit for the cardiff game? Anyone got any news on it? that 12 points could be the difference between finishing 6th and finishing 7th. Maybe if Walker is a way off we should try and loan someone in or maybe try Conrad Logan... 33129 would just like to remind everyone of what i posted a couple of weeks back, which i got slated for. Yes he has made some great saves which has kept us in games but tell me this... how many points has he saved us rather than gave away. i make it 1 point he saved us at Cardiff, compared to 10 he has threw away...

You might also poonder on all the points other players have lost with own goals and strikers/midfielders missing easy chances. Against Sunderland Scowcroft again, although it was a good diving header failed to get the ball on target, Connolly also missed chances and both Nalis and Joey blasted over and wide - did they not cost us points then. You can't just drop everyone who makes a mistake otherwise the way we've been playing this season we wouldn't have a team to put. Having said that I do think Pressmans confidence has gone and if a suitable replacement was available should play.
Scow Posted 15 November 2004 Posted 15 November 2004 I seem to remember he saved us at Gillingham aswell.....
