Swedging Posted 21 June 2006 Share Posted 21 June 2006 Now you see this is where the club made the mistake of not giving the first cup match with the season ticket like Blackpool last year both clubs have to agree the ticket prices but imo this would have been the difference between a crowd of 15000 and the extra income that come with it and a crowd of less than 5000 Really - 5,000 at an average of £15 is £75,000 - say £50,000 to the club, £25,000 to Macc 15,000 free gives what - maybe 3000 extra program sales - £9,000, plus perhaps £1000 in the shop. Take off costs of extra police/security and the £25,000 Macc would expect and it looks to me that through giving free tickets, the club is losing £15,000 compared to gaining £50,000. Surreal Madrid Posted 21 June 2006 Share Posted 21 June 2006 Fiver for anyone to get in? Problem is, the prices have to be agreed by both clubs. LCFC wanted to do a cheap deal for the Blackpool game last year, but Blackpool refused, so the prices had to be set by the Football League. dandannieldanok Posted 21 June 2006 Share Posted 21 June 2006 I'd love to see Stockport win... Ntts County, Leyton and Northampton Town too for that matter! Any other underdog favourites? Yeah i think forest are underdogs against accrington and could give them a run for their money, but stanley should run out winners

DanTheFoxBhoy Posted 23 August 2006 Share Posted 23 August 2006 Haha how ****ing bank would it be if Stanley won... a herald to the league Reading over this thread it seems as though many of us got what we wished for! So that's two years in a row that Forest has been knocked out first round by an 'underdog.'
