MC Prussian Posted 1 July 2006 Posted 1 July 2006 I've just discovered this on a Swiss website: Berlin Olympiastadion speaker Andreas Wenzel has been sacked from his post after having made one-sided comments during the quarter final match between his native side Germany and Argentina. The German WC committee has intervened upon a reaction from the FIFA. Wenzel, as it appears, was quoted to have said "Our team needs our support now" after an Argentine substition. Wenzel, who originally stems from Munich, Bavaria, was providing the comment for all of the German National Squad's home games for more than 13 years prior to this event. FIFA public relations manager Markus Siegler justified this decision with the fact that "all speakers are to be neutral in all football games, not just the World Cup".

Lets hope that Blatter visits Brammall lane then.
