Ash Posted 23 November 2004 Posted 23 November 2004 I don't want this to happen , It is our ground and our club ! I don't to think about someone egg chaser seating in my seat ! I think it will effect the support of the footy matches aswell , Look at the Wigan fans , all boring and no passion ...I'd hate that to happen to us ! Wheres the protest taking place ? I want to go !
Guest Daniel Posted 23 November 2004 Posted 23 November 2004 This is a disgrace, keep the peanut huggers away.
Guest Daniel Posted 23 November 2004 Posted 23 November 2004 only 1 team in leicester 39119 Could say the same about Wigan but you cant even say there Rugby team is any good.
Nathan_Ellington_WAFC Posted 23 November 2004 Posted 23 November 2004 we love you tigers, we do taking advantage of your football club
Hullfox Posted 23 November 2004 Posted 23 November 2004 we love you tigers, we dotaking advantage of your football club 39122 Like I said previously, it's apparent what the letters WAFC stand for in your name.
davieG Posted 23 November 2004 Posted 23 November 2004 I'd have thought we will have one of those plastic monstrosities. Not good. 39014 Eufa are encouraging the move to so called plastic pitches Read
Scow Posted 23 November 2004 Posted 23 November 2004 I was walking through town today and I could see the Mercury's headlines of a groundshare. I didn't think much of it at first as I thought it was a joke. I come back, read this thread, and I'm sickened by the proposals. <_< Green seats? Re-branding inside and out? Ugh, no... The deal strikes me as benefitting the Tigers much more than us, that can't be right. While I can see the financial point of view, we don't actually know at this point how beneficial this will be for us. To be honest, I can't see it helping us significantly.....
HarisFox Posted 23 November 2004 Posted 23 November 2004 Might mean we can buy our ground which might never have happened if we stick around in this division much longer. The advantage of this is that it gives us more security. The present arrangement doesn't offer us much of this. Disadvantages - probable deterioration in pitch quality. Probably more midweek games. Won't be 'our' stadium. Once the Tigers are in, they're in for good!
Scow Posted 23 November 2004 Posted 23 November 2004 It would probably just accelerate the process of buying back our ground by a few years, is it really worth selling of our identity and dignity just so that's achieveable? The club are overstating the financial benefit of this deal I reckon. I don't want us to be dictated by the Tigers......
HarisFox Posted 23 November 2004 Posted 23 November 2004 To be honest mate, none of us know about the financial benefits. I think we just have to hope that if this does go ahead then it will benefit the club
Eastern Fox Posted 23 November 2004 Posted 23 November 2004 Does the board have no sense of the club's identity? First they sell the stadium's name for only £1.5m to Walkers for 10 years, then this disgrace. Mace and Davies OUT.
Leicester_Mad Posted 23 November 2004 Posted 23 November 2004 we all live in a blue white and green bowl with a hint of red - doesnt exactly sound as good as WE ALL LIVE IN A BLUE AND WHITE BOWL A BLUE AND WHITE BOWL A BLUE AND WHITE BOWL!
BartonFox Posted 23 November 2004 Posted 23 November 2004 There are little financial benefits for LCFC in this, it is all loaded in the Tigers favour. For doing next to nothing they double capacity get a state of the art facilty with corporate benefits. With their increase revenue from attendances they can go on and dominate English and European rugby and enjoying all the commercial benefits. Meanwhile, we have lost our 'home' even if it is rented, and stand to gain nothing substantial whatsoever. The non-matchday conferences/events will now have any profits split 2 ways instead of coming to us. Mace thought he was bigger and more important than MON during his first spell, now in this one he has made us a laughing stock for all the reasons mentioned elsewhere. MACE OUT, DAVIES OUT
Sparky Posted 23 November 2004 Posted 23 November 2004 it is an outrage that the fans havnt been consulted on this , the clubs just come out and say THIS IS HAPPENING . the fans are the single most important part of a football club and personally i think it stinks
