Louise Posted 23 July 2004 Posted 23 July 2004 According to the St Johnstone OS this is the squad we've flown out to Scotland: http://www.stjohnstonefc.co.uk/newsitem.asp?NewsID=893 Ian Walker, Kevin Pressman Martin Keown, Matt Heath, Peter Canero, Richard Stearman, Jordan Stewart Keith Gillespie, Lilian Nalis, Gareth Williams, Jason Wilcox, Aarron Butcher, Stephen Dawson Trevor Benjamin, David Connolly, Tommy Wright, Lee Morris, James Scowcroft, Dion Dublin, Chris O’Grady. Assuming this squad is right, youngsters must surely still be in Micky's plans then, despite none (but Logan) being given a number. Elliott and Tiatto are injured apparently, and Dabizas still away (though coming back on Monday according to Birch).
Guest Guest Posted 23 July 2004 Posted 23 July 2004 Walker Canero, Heath, Keown, Stewart Scowcroft, Williams, Nalis, Wilcox Connolly, Dublin Happy with that
Mark Posted 23 July 2004 Posted 23 July 2004 I cant work out why Aarron Butcher is tagging along. I've never thought to myself, oh he's got a chance of making it, but who knows. Scored a few good goals in the past. Richard Stearman and Martin Keown in defence please
Guest Daniel Posted 23 July 2004 Posted 23 July 2004 Nalis is a disgrace to this club. Cant stand the bloke/woman. Awful player and shouldnt be near our team. Otherwise it aint too bad, worried the plane might not take off though with Pressman on it.
City Fan Posted 23 July 2004 Posted 23 July 2004 So why are we taking 7 strikers and only 5 defenders??? MA has lost the plot....especially after signing Fatty Pressman

I think he's had some cracking games (some howlers too..) and he'll be an important and good player for us this season.. and his hair's class

Mark Posted 23 July 2004 Posted 23 July 2004 So why are we taking 7 strikers and only 5 defenders??? Isnt Wilcox a defender in Mickys eyes? ::

Wilcox was playing LB in our last friendly, Dublin can play CB, Morris can play LW, Scowcroft RW etc.
Guest Daniel Posted 23 July 2004 Posted 23 July 2004 Yeah but in Mickys eyes Pressman is decent, so dont go by them eyes! Nalis is awful, he had 2 good games for us, Barcelona and Leeds.
Carlo Posted 23 July 2004 Posted 23 July 2004 Don't like to be too cruel but one team had the worst season for many a year and were relegated and Barcelona weren't really trying were they?
Cobbo Posted 23 July 2004 Posted 23 July 2004 Yeah but in Mickys eyes Pressman is decent, so dont go by them eyes!Nalis is awful, he had 2 good games for us, Barcelona and Leeds. He was class v's Bolton at home and people say he was brill away at Arsenal too.....so nur :: He'll be good this year, you watch

Probably our best player at Arsenal, was instrumental in our passing game that day.
Guest Daniel Posted 23 July 2004 Posted 23 July 2004 2 games out of 38 aint bad eh? Come on people, hes shit and aint a premiership player admit it. Ill give him a chance this season ok?
Guest Guest Posted 23 July 2004 Posted 23 July 2004 We'll see how good you are at football if we stick you in a country where you can't speak the language and nobody talks your language, then two of your family members die, then you're getting boo'd by your own fans.
Scow Posted 23 July 2004 Posted 23 July 2004 2 games out of 38 aint bad eh?Come on people, hes shit and aint a premiership player admit it. Ill give him a chance this season ok? He didn't play 38 games, and he had about 5 good games anyway. You have to take in to account the horrfic personal problems he had - He was doing Ok until then - Then it all went out the window. He came back and he was shocking at first - But when he returned against Bolton, he was our best player that night, then he played well at Spurs - After that, Muzzy came back for Wolves and he was dropped. He then really didn't get another chance after that, apart from the odd sub appearance. Then IMO, he played really well at Arsenal. Passed the ball superbly that day. He will be fine in the Championship - He'll get more time on the ball, and he'll show his class.
gagandeep Posted 23 July 2004 Posted 23 July 2004 Yeah but in Mickys eyes Pressman is decent, so dont go by them eyes!Nalis is awful, he had 2 good games for us, Barcelona and Leeds. bolton at home, totenham away, arsenal away aswell, toward the end of the seoan, when he was getting more used to the english game.
Highland Posted 23 July 2004 Posted 23 July 2004 I shall be at St.Johnstone tomorrow, they are obviously expecting a big crowd only opening one side of the ground.
Highland Posted 23 July 2004 Posted 23 July 2004 Yeah but it will be the only game I do get to see apart from the ones on Sky.Hopefully there will be a few other City fans around on holiday etc.
Guest Daniel Posted 23 July 2004 Posted 23 July 2004 Yeah i spose thats not so good, ill be at every single match.
