Phube Posted 30 August 2006 Posted 30 August 2006 Just a question for you techies out there: You know these new ipods/Creative Zen players can store photos... How do you actually get them on there?? Is a case of putting them on your PC them transferring them to your media player. Or can you transfer them directly from your digital camera (via the USB cable)?? I ask this 'cause when I go on my Honeymoon, it'd be nice to store my photos on something, aswell as the memory card!! And will determine what size player I get... Thankls in advance... maybe...

I was in a bad mood and felt like random sniping but something put me in a good mood, so it's all gravy sheephead's reply implies what I put I think, there's no kind of cable that can connect an Olympus Camera to an iPod (I'm 99% certain of that) so I think you can only do it through a PC.

I had a 5 megapixel Olympus that I got for my birthday last year and then lost it at a Ball so I got it replaced by a 7 megapixel Olympus, cheeky. Cheekily managed to reduce the £100 excess I had to pay though by having a word with Jessops (where we had to get the stuff from) and asking if we could get the cheaper (but better) case and not buy the memory card from them because I could get a 1 gig memory card online for the price of their 256mb. Anyway, cost me about £60 instead of £100, which was nice. I've got this bad boy, the Olympus Mju 700:

JadeFalcon Posted 31 August 2006 Posted 31 August 2006 my advice for i-pod users is dont use that shitty software I-Tunes its crap, really really huge and crap, there are alternatives out there that let you view the i-pod like its an external drive i.e just drag and drop files plus the fact that you wont get infected with itunes which is a plus all of its own

And will determine what size player I get... Thankls in advance... maybe... For the i-pod you can indeed get a usb adapter which transfers straight from your camera's usb cable. It cost £20. Very handy and cheaper than a large memory card if you are buying the i-pod anyway.
