DanTheFoxBhoy Posted 4 September 2006 Posted 4 September 2006 Thought you guys might get a laugh out of our reaction to some tool that chucked a flare at our game on Saturday night.
C-man Posted 4 September 2006 Posted 4 September 2006 ROFL lol Aussie Rules is more worth watching than Australian Soccer though mate. Come on West Coast. We were top of the league, say we were top of the league
Head Honcho Posted 4 September 2006 Posted 4 September 2006 Class! PS Kevin Muscat! They aren't that bad are they?
DanTheFoxBhoy Posted 4 September 2006 Author Posted 4 September 2006 Class! PS Kevin Muscat! They aren't that bad are they? They're better this year, just signed three Brazilians including this Alessandro dude who is a gun, very fancy footwork. There was a record crowd of 40,000 on Sat night, if we can keep that up there'll be more money in the kitty down the track Some people were saying it fell into a few empty seats, others said it hit a dude on the arm but he wasn't hurt. Nevertheless we have a vendetta against the tosspot who did it - MVFC gets fined for sh*t like that and it attracts negative media coverage.

Are you back playing in the Telstra Stadium again then because your last stadium only held 20000 didn't it? Just one more question Honest! How many Johnny foreigners or should I say Juninho foreigners are you allowed per team?
DanTheFoxBhoy Posted 4 September 2006 Author Posted 4 September 2006 Are you back playing in the Telstra Stadium again then because your last stadium only held 20000 didn't it? Just one more question Honest! How many Johnny foreigners or should I say Juninho foreigners are you allowed per team? Telstra Stadium is in Syndey - we've got Telstra Dome down here. But yeah, our home ground is Olympic Park which holds a dismal 18,250. Melbourne's rugby league team was playing a match there on Sat, so the FFA put some dosh in to hire out the Dome. People were expecting 30k tops, but 40k took everyone by surprise. Not sure about signing restrictions - would that be set by FFA or the Asia region body? Most of the players are Aussies - in addition to the three Brazilian guys there's only Claeys who's Belgian and Brebner.
Jon the Hat Posted 4 September 2006 Posted 4 September 2006 Why West Coast? EAGLES! My In laws live a stone's through from Subi Oval! Say we are top of the league! (Ladder doesn't quite sound the same does it?)
Newcastle_Fox Posted 4 September 2006 Posted 4 September 2006 We ought to get the whole Kop singing this for Bernie
C-man Posted 4 September 2006 Posted 4 September 2006 Why West Coast? Because i saw them play at the Dome vs St Kilda, and i decided to support the Eagles Never thought they'd be 3 Eagles fans on here
DanTheFoxBhoy Posted 5 September 2006 Author Posted 5 September 2006 Fkn Eagles... Bombers fans hate them. Check this out from wiki: The rivalry started when Essendon coach Kevin Sheedy celebrated his team's 2-point victory in Round 16, 1993 by running down from the coaches box to the ground waving his jacket around his head. Ever since, the fans of the victorious team in these clashes celebrate the victory by waving their jackets, scarves, or whatever other paraphrenalia is handy. In a match in 2000, Essendon's Mark Johnson was felled shortly before halftime (no video footage of the incident exists). This prompted Kevin Sheedy, to march onto the field, yelling at West Coast's Mitchell White and making throat-slitting gestures. Sheedy later claimed that a "seagull" had flown into Johnson's eye and was fined heavily by the league for his actions. That and I always like to back the Dockers in their local derby
