Lester LXXIV Posted 25 September 2006 Posted 25 September 2006 Brace yourself for lots of spam!!!! (not from me or others FTers that is...) Noooooooooo of course not!
cisono Posted 25 September 2006 Posted 25 September 2006 Noooooooooo of course not! Not from us... but from spambots (spiders) finding your email address here!!!!
Rincewind Posted 25 September 2006 Posted 25 September 2006 I have a lot of email addresses but but not many on MSN. I used to but my email changed and I've only recently reopened MSN messenger. I dont want to add the addresses because i don't know who a lot of them are. They are from my old MSN and there were some weird usernames going around. I will need to update some of my addys because a few may have changed. I don't mind adding people but I have my icon on busy or unavailable most of the time. Not keen on one to one chatting.
cisono Posted 25 September 2006 Posted 25 September 2006 I don't mind adding people but I have my icon on busy or unavailable most of the time. Not keen on one to one chatting. Then you don't need MSN I guess...
Rincewind Posted 25 September 2006 Posted 25 September 2006 I will start again. What i mean is I used to get someone come on. Hi Hi Going match No wat ya doin nothing Oh Going work? soon Oh After this it got less interesting. If theres more than two on line you can at least interupt now and again with some witty remark. Chatting one to one with a member of the opposite sex is OK.
cisono Posted 25 September 2006 Posted 25 September 2006 Let me explain... a good conversation depends on two people putting the effort in. You cannot expect to have a great chat by just saying "y", "n", "k" all the time...

Rincewind Posted 25 September 2006 Posted 25 September 2006 I must be unlucky with my contacts then. Funny thing is my messenger name is from my Yahoo address so my hotmail one nay still be around with all the contacts.
lookwhaticando Posted 26 September 2006 Posted 26 September 2006 Then you don't need MSN I guess... Everyone needs MSN. It's mandatory in 35 US States, don't you know. I will start again. We've all got contacts like those... Some people just don't make good conversationalists at all. Oh and if it's the opposite sex you're after, try cisono, she definitely qualifies. * lookwhaticando runs away before cisono beats him to death with a stick * I must be unlucky with my contacts then. Funny thing is my messenger name is from my Yahoo address so my hotmail one nay still be around with all the contacts. Definitely... sounds like they've been taking your beer forum a little too seriously. Raging drunks with nothing to say but "hi, pass me my beer"?
Daggers Posted 26 September 2006 Posted 26 September 2006 MSN is overrated. No! I simply love waiting 10 minutes for someone to reply to something in a monosyllabic fashion

Rincewind Posted 26 September 2006 Posted 26 September 2006 tbh I am not the best conversationlist. Some people are chatty and can't be shut up others are quiet. I leave the talking to others. There are occasions though when I cant be shut up I must admit. With MSN I suppose I'm not very good with chat rooms's idle chit chat. I'm OK on messageboards like this one because I can think about what I'm going to say although I do still get it wrong at times. I don't mind having contacts on msn but I prefer to go on at an arranged time rater than random. My user name is ken_5008.
