chili_con_carne Posted 2 October 2006 Posted 2 October 2006 He is English isnt he? With his form of late he surely has to be given a go. I don't mean a starter but a player who can come on as a Sub and make an impact. I hope he is English looks quality

lcfc_jme Posted 2 October 2006 Posted 2 October 2006 He's only just started really letting people know who he is, and it is under MON that he has looked really threatening. I'd have to wonder how he'd force his way in ahead of Gerrard, SWP, Jenas and Richardson. It wouldn't happen really would it??
Mark Posted 2 October 2006 Posted 2 October 2006 He actually struggled to get in the Sheffield Wednesday team last season when on loan. Plus he hasn't even won an U-21 cap yet. At the moment it's just the O'Neill effect that he has on players, he looks promising but I'd be surprised if he kept it up for the season TBH.
Ultra Posted 2 October 2006 Posted 2 October 2006 No reason why he shouldn't at least be given a go in the Under-21s. We can see how he does there before bringing him into the senior side.

He's in the Under 21 Squad for the games against Germany to be played 6th and 10th of October. http://www.thefa.com/England/U21s/Players/
Joe. Posted 6 October 2006 Posted 6 October 2006 He rejected Nigeria to pursue a future England call up. He's definitely not good enough yet for England.
