The People's Hero Posted 2 October 2006 Posted 2 October 2006 Is sponsored by Sainsbury's garribaldi biscuits and Yorkshire Tea. It was last.. from now... for the duration of Blur - Tender (live recording) Thankyou. What do you have to eat/drink/listen to if given a 5/10 minute slot to relax/recharge. Go!
The People's Hero Posted 2 October 2006 Author Posted 2 October 2006 Tender is finished. The cuppa is finished. All that remains of the biscuits are a few crumbs in my bed. Back to the books....
lookwhaticando Posted 2 October 2006 Posted 2 October 2006 Eat - anything snack like and readily available. Sweet or Savory depending on the time of day. Drink - coffee usually. Alternatives include tea (rare), juice or coke. As for studying... I don't have 5/10 minute study breaks... I have 5/10 minutes of studying followed by 5/10 hours of breaks. I'm just that kinda guy - can't study. Never could, still can't, probably never will. I'm just incapable.
Katy Posted 2 October 2006 Posted 2 October 2006 Ahh im doing everything but revising at the moment. Ive done all the revision cards rollocks but need to actually retain what ive written. My exam is on friday the 13th!
Milky Posted 2 October 2006 Posted 2 October 2006 i usually stretch the legs for five, or sometimes i throw a few darts, or if i'm in my uni room i just lie on the bed for a set 10 mins to relax and rest my back which always hurts.

Imagine the relief and immense enjoyment to be had when you all realize it wasn't that bad. Good luck, by the way.

I dont normally subscribe to this superstition but I havent sat an exam for 15 years and im avoiding it like the plaque!
The People's Hero Posted 2 October 2006 Author Posted 2 October 2006 I'm back. Might have done too much for the day I think. I've seriously left this all too late. Far far far too much to do. Ah well, no use me moaning about it - we'll see how I get on! Just rediscovered... The Housemartins - Now That's What I Call Quite Good!

Nearly bought some Garibaldi's biscuits the other day! I have now run out of biscuits... last week I indulged in 2 packets of jaffa cakes (ordinary and berry versions). They didn't last too long Just had a strawberry tea. Earlier some dark choc (yes I know you are off it now hehe) and even hot chocolate. Felt like I needed it to recover from the spinning class earlier...

lookwhaticando Posted 2 October 2006 Posted 2 October 2006 I don't think we'll ask It's where a bunch of people stand, spinning on the spot for an hour. As you can imagine, there's a bucket handy for each person in the room. Or at least that's how I've imagined it these past few weeks anyhoo.
The People's Hero Posted 2 October 2006 Author Posted 2 October 2006 I'm off chocolate and cheese for now. Supposed to be off tea too but I get headaches if I don't have my caffeine. I'm trying to find out what is giving me such unsettled sleep and such lurid, vivid dreams when I do manage a decent amount of sleep.

I'm trying to find out what is giving me such unsettled sleep and such lurid, vivid dreams when I do manage a decent amount of sleep. Not the cheese, apparently. I found that I get very vivid and strange dreams when I study new stuff and my brain seems to reorganise itself to better cope with the new stuff (particularly when learning different type of things from before).
The People's Hero Posted 2 October 2006 Author Posted 2 October 2006 It could be the study. I think it might just be down to increased stress at the moment, which I don't really want to be drawn on... but just about every part of my life at the moment is giving me big stress. Having said that, I have a roof over my head, a job to go to, friends around me and my health (touch wood) so... all in all, mustn't grumble!

Damn... and I thought I drank a lot of the stuff. I'll bet it's the caffiene that grants you the lurid, vivid dreams. One question - why? It's more fun and slightly more pleasant than sticking two fingers down your throat... Tho I'm sure throwing up isn't the primary goal of this class... you'd have to ask cis.
The People's Hero Posted 2 October 2006 Author Posted 2 October 2006 You suffer from caffiene withdrawal? Yeah. Pretty sad state of being really!
lookwhaticando Posted 2 October 2006 Posted 2 October 2006 Yeah. Pretty sad state of being really! Could be worse... I hear things like crack are sorta addictive. That's a much sadder state.

I'm alright as long as I know where my next cuppa is coming from. Nothing worse than overly milky/overly sweet/ overly weak/ cold tea. I can't believe how much I love tea. I really worry about me sometimes!

lookwhaticando Posted 2 October 2006 Posted 2 October 2006 All this talk of tea is making me jealous. I used to drink it all the time but I haven't had a cuppa in months! I've gotta get me some teaaaaaa * lookwhaticando runs off into the distance *
