Fez of Mahrez Posted 16 October 2006 Author Posted 16 October 2006 Sell em all. Buy some more - at least you'll prove that its our midfield that's starving the strikers. It was no different Saturday either. Oh you're no fun! I wanted a lecture about Dodds! If we had a decent midfield Fryatt and Hume could get 35 goals between them in my opinion. Even if they were all playing all season, can't see those sort of figures from Hammond or O'Grady. More like 6 or 7 each at the most.
Cobbo Posted 16 October 2006 Posted 16 October 2006 I think they're both assets at this level. Technically however, O'Grady is far superior and if asked who would I keep if I had to seel one I would say COG.
newms Posted 16 October 2006 Posted 16 October 2006 you have to ask the question if you were a centre back who would you least like to play against? The answer everytime would be Hammond as although he is a rubbish footballer defenders hate playing against pace

Not that COG is slow either.
lildave3 Posted 16 October 2006 Posted 16 October 2006 O'Grady. Just watching him in the warm-up trying to finish a couple makes me laugh

Not that COG is slow either. you sure hes 6ft 3 because he doesnt look it, i'd be surprised if he was over 6 foot which is bread and butter for most the centre backs in the championship

Is that a propoganda stunt?

lookwhaticando Posted 16 October 2006 Posted 16 October 2006 The numbers don't lie. Goals this season. Elvis Hammond: has scored goals in the league. Chris O'Grady: hasn't scored goals in the leage. Says it all really.
AyewJoking Posted 16 October 2006 Posted 16 October 2006 Both struggling but at least Hammond scores once in a while.
lookwhaticando Posted 16 October 2006 Posted 16 October 2006 Both struggling but at least Hammond scores once in a while. .. and he often manages to put the ball in the back of the net from time to time. As for O'Grady, I think the afro hampered his attempts to score.

Joe. Posted 17 October 2006 Posted 17 October 2006 You have to admit though, O'Grady does have years on his side...
Fez of Mahrez Posted 17 October 2006 Author Posted 17 October 2006 I thought this was going to be closer. I think Elvis would have won this before the Birmingham game.
lcfc_jme Posted 17 October 2006 Posted 17 October 2006 I'd have to go COG really. He has youth on his side and so he should get better and improve with age, but that doesn't excuse him from going down pretty easily for a big lad and generally not doing too much. At least Elvis, albeit rubbish with the ball, doesn't stop running and actually scares opposition defenders
