davieG Posted 19 October 2006 Share Posted 19 October 2006 Dissension in the Palarce camp Crystal Palace boss Peter Taylor has issued a strong defence of under-fire striker Shefki Kuqi. The Kosovo-born Finnish international has struggled to justify his £2.5 million fee since arriving at Selhurst Park from Blackburn in the summer. Despite having previously held an impressive goalscoring record at Championship level, during a successful spell at Ipswich, Kuqi has struggled thus far in the capital. Kuqi left the field on Tuesday in the 2-0 home defeat to West Brom with a chorus of boos ringing in his ears, from his own supporters, after another disappointing display but he still continues to retain his manager's faith. "Shefki is a tremendous professional and a great lad, and he is determined to put it right," said Taylor. "He worked very hard against Cardiff last Saturday, but he didn't have the same effect against West Brom and found it difficult. "We have to work very hard as a group to get back on track." Joe. Posted 19 October 2006 Share Posted 19 October 2006 He's still a good player, just finding his feet still. Pretty much all strikers ahve a dry patch now and again. Let's hope it continues for a while....

Better yet, has anyone counted the actual number of bananas that were dancing on Tuesday night?
Michael Doyle Posted 20 October 2006 Share Posted 20 October 2006 Looks like PT has only paid half as much this time to obtain the services of what he sees as a potential striker. Cant belive the guy is in charge of the Under 21 England Squad. Oh well lets hope we show him what for on Saturday COME ON YOU MIGHTY FOXES MadMick

lookwhaticando Posted 20 October 2006 Share Posted 20 October 2006 Leicester v Crystal PalaceLeicester are likely to be without Gareth Williams, Darren Kenton, Matty Fryatt and Andy Johnson (all ankle). Paddy McCarthy (broken nose) is a doubt but youngster James Wesolowski could shake off a knock in time to feature. Crystal Palace could be without both Mark Kennedy (Achilles) and James Scowcroft (hamstring). Dougie Freedman (hamstring), Jobi McAnuff (hernia), Michael Hughes (knee), Matt Lawrence (toe) and Danny Butterfield (ankle) are also doubts. BBC Football Both teams have quite a few missing players. Any of the Palace onces important enough to be pleased about?
Fez of Mahrez Posted 20 October 2006 Share Posted 20 October 2006 BBC Football Both teams have quite a few missing players. Any of the Palace onces important enough to be pleased about? As Ric has said elsewhere, glad McAnuff will be out. He could have given Johansson a hell of a tough time (which, incidentally, would have been good preparation for Agbonlahor on Tuesday.) Sven must have had some charisma/personality... how'd he manage to bonk all those women otherwise? It surely can't be his looks.
