Scow Posted 20 December 2004 Posted 20 December 2004 Rotherham Tickets Selling FastCity fans are being urged to snap up the last remaining tickets for the Boxing Day Championship clash against Rotherham at the Walkers Stadium (3pm). Tickets for Leicester's home festive fixture are currently on general sale - and fans have moved swiftly to secure their seats for the Sunday match. The Boxing Day clash traditionally draws a big crowd - and this season looks like being no different. And it promises to be an entertaining game as Craig Levein's new-look Foxes take on the Championship's bottom placed side. Tickets for the grade B game are priced from just £22 for adults and £14 for Fox Cubs. Link - LCFC.com £22 for Rotherham? That will be a crowd puller then...
MON Posted 20 December 2004 Posted 20 December 2004 I think that it's a bit of both. there have probabaly been around 27k sold IMO
Ricey Posted 20 December 2004 Posted 20 December 2004 I only read the headline for this on the official site, I didn't bother reading the rest because I knew it would be a pile of lies to try and increase ticket sales.
Anish Posted 20 December 2004 Posted 20 December 2004 LCFC really do think we're a bunch of fools if they expect us to believe the Rotherham game is nearing a sell out. £22 to watch the worst team in the division - you must be joking.
MADLEVEIN Posted 20 December 2004 Posted 20 December 2004 boxing day game is a traditional crowd-puller ! tikets as presents etc the club are not stupid are they
Scow Posted 20 December 2004 Author Posted 20 December 2004 boxing day game is a traditional crowd-puller ! tikets as presents etcthe club are not stupid are they 48182 Well, yes they are. ''Here you go son, a ticket to watch Leicester play Rotherham! Wahoo!''
Teeno Posted 20 December 2004 Posted 20 December 2004 But it is the worst game of the season to get to with Transport n all that.
Foxes_Trust Posted 20 December 2004 Posted 20 December 2004 Rotherham was one of the games we put forward to be a Fans Fixture, however this was before the fixture dates were announced. We wouldn't expect a Boxing Day game to get Fans Fixture prices, as a Boxing Day game is often the ONLY game some people come to, sort of annual event. And why should they get cheap tickets?
Anish Posted 20 December 2004 Posted 20 December 2004 We're not arguing so much about the ticket prices for the Rotherham game, just the fact that LCFC has to 'bend the truth' in order to persuade people to buy tickets.
Scow Posted 24 December 2004 Author Posted 24 December 2004 City fans are reminded that they can secure their match tickets for the Championship clash against Rotherham at the Walkers Stadium up until kick off on Boxing Day.Supporters can visit the Walkers Stadium ticket office from noon on Sunday December 26 to book their seats for the festive clash that kicks off at 3pm. Tickets are priced from just £22 for adults and £14 for fox cubs. The club are expecting one of their highest gates of the season for the game that sees Craig Levein's men take on the Championship's bottom placed side. Leicester gained a 2-0 victory over the Millers earlier in the season - with Dion Dublin and Lilian Nalis (pictured) grabbing the goals on that occasion. Link Oh yes, they're selling like hot cakes. :w00t:
FNQ Posted 24 December 2004 Posted 24 December 2004 The club is a business! They are trying to sell as many tickets as possible as that is what a business does! Why on Earth do you have a problem with that? They are not saying it's gonna be a sellout anyway. Grow up.

Grow up. 49288 Football is not the same as any old business, it has passionate supporters, who put their lives into supporting the team. And our club keep treating us like thick morons, which is not on! Asking to much for them to be honest with us? After all, without the fans there would be no club. Grow up.

Unfortunately, I remember FNQ being an ignorant plank from the other forum. Nothing changes I see.

They've said it will be one of the biggest gates of the season, so read the posts properly before posting.
FNQ Posted 24 December 2004 Posted 24 December 2004 Serious supporters will buy tickets without reading this sort of thing. This article is directed at those parttime supporters, and I don't care if the club bends the truth to make a few extra quid out of these mugs. It will be a big crowd anyhow.

MON Posted 25 December 2004 Posted 25 December 2004 I think the attendance will be around 28 thousand. What do you people think?
