Finnegan Posted 17 November 2006 Posted 17 November 2006 What a load of shit. Is this all just one step too far? I mean action man, toy soldiers and GI Joe are all ok for adverts as we approach Christmas, but please don't push junk food? We've seen some pretty stupid crusades over the last decade or two (computer games breed violence!, the power rangers breed violence!, WWE breeds violence!) but this about the worst yet. Advertising junk food on the TV doesn't breed fat kids, shit fooking parenting does. How many more scapegoats are we going to come up with before someone spawns the 'Start Being There For Your Kids!' campaign? At the end of the day, in the words of a true, true great: "Have you ever tried turning off the TV? Sitting down with your kids... and hitting them?"
Fez of Mahrez Posted 17 November 2006 Posted 17 November 2006 Power Rangers did breed violence. I always threw something at my brother when he tried to watch it.
The People's Hero Posted 17 November 2006 Posted 17 November 2006 Sosban. You're right. That's all I have to say.
Nationwider Posted 17 November 2006 Posted 17 November 2006 What a load of shit. "Have you ever tried turning off the TV? Good point, well made. Less keen on the hitting them bit, but fair comment. Fat kids make great kebabs, incidentally.

Finnegan Posted 17 November 2006 Author Posted 17 November 2006 Good point, well made. Less keen on the hitting them bit, but fair comment. Fat kids make great kebabs, incidentally. Hah. I'm not really pro-child beating. It's a Bender quote.
