Bert Posted 23 November 2006 Share Posted 23 November 2006 Link Leicester City will be backed by their biggest away support of the season for the East Midlands clash with Derby on Saturday.City have already sold more than 2,500 tickets for the short trip to Pride Park, with manager Robert Kelly describing the game as "what it's all about." Kelly expects the travelling Blue Army to add to a great atmosphere, and revealed his players are already relishing the prospect of the game. "It's great when you go away and you have that support behind you," he said. "You know it's going to be a good atmosphere and it's great to know you have your backing. "There are going to be periods where you're going to have your backs against the wall and their noise can really help. "There'll also be periods when you are on top and they are urging you forward. "I can remember going to Coventry last year and taking huge support, and it really does make a difference. "Our support away from home is always good so the more the better. "It helps the atmosphere. The reason we are in football at this level is because we want to go to good grounds with good crowds. The bigger the crowd the more it spices it up. "Do you want to play in half-empty stadiums in games that don't matter? These are games that players will, and should, look forward to." Kelly's opposite number Billy Davies, meanwhile, said he was hoping for Pride Park's biggest gate of the season. He said: "This is a crucial time in the season for our club and the vocal support the fans create on our home patch could make all the difference." Kelly has not ruled out midfielders James Wesolowski and Gareth Williams from his plans after they played 60 minutes in a behind-closed-doors training match on Tuesday. "We will have to wait and see about Saturday," he said. "It may be too early." Kelly is also waiting on the fitness of Darren Kenton (calf) and Chris O'Grady (ankle), but will definitely be without Andy Johnson (ankle).
