Brummie-FOX Posted 25 November 2006 Posted 25 November 2006 I find it hard to see average teams like Burnley, Stoke, Plymouth etc. up in the rop half of the table. Seeing clubs like ourselves, Crystal Palace and Leeds Utd (Not like I care about them) gets to me. Yeah im Jealous.
Joe. Posted 26 November 2006 Posted 26 November 2006 Me too. That's why I hate Derby so much this season.

Seeing clubs like ourselves, Crystal Palace and Leeds Utd (Not like I care about them) gets to me. Yeah im Jealous. The problem is that teams like Burnley, Stoke and Plymouth are not just average teams any more, they are in fact much better than us. They deserve to be up there and City, Palace and Leeds deserve to be down in the bottom six.
Brummie-FOX Posted 26 November 2006 Author Posted 26 November 2006 Average Stadiums. Average Teams. At the end of the day it's the spirit that the team have that counts. Leicester, Leeds And Palace don't have that. Maybe a few years in this league may do us good. Then maybe we'll be accepting mid-table solidarity like Burnley and Stoke should be.
Joe. Posted 26 November 2006 Posted 26 November 2006 Burnley and Plymouth have good managers who know what they are doing. That's a good reason why they are doing well, not because they are just average teams. We on the other hand don't. It's not fluke either, we're nearly halfway through the season and they've maintained their position.
Brummie-FOX Posted 26 November 2006 Author Posted 26 November 2006 But Burnley have been like this for 2-3 season now apparently. They were up there I remember around Christmas and fell down into a low 17th finish. Everything can happen.. .. .. I suppose..

But both Stoke and Burnley have played in the top flight in the past and Burnley unlike us have won the league and FA cup and played in the European Cup.

Lord Nibblington Posted 29 November 2006 Posted 29 November 2006 Rather than looking at teams in the top half of the table and getting all jealous, we should look at them and try to learn from the good things that they've done. Or is that just crazy talk?

Or is that just crazy talk? Definately, we should spend money on decent players. Oh wait ....
Lord Nibblington Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 Definately, we should spend money on decent players. Oh wait .... Yup, coz all the teams in the top half have loads of money to spend on decent players. I mean, look at Colchester and all the money they spent on decent players...
Leonisco Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 Yup, coz all the teams in the top half have loads of money to spend on decent players. I mean, look at Colchester and all the money they spent on decent players... They won't be up there for long.
Filbert_Ross Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 They won't be up there for long. why because there a small club?? they are sh1t hot at home.
Lord Nibblington Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 why because there a small club?? they are sh1t hot at home. Indeed. I'd quite happily take the result that they got against Sheffield Wednesday at home...
Filbert_Ross Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 Indeed. I'd quite happily take the result that they got against Sheffield Wednesday at home... cant see it though. :pinch:
Lord Nibblington Posted 30 November 2006 Posted 30 November 2006 cant see it though. :pinch: We can but hope. Also, maybe they'll oblige us by scoring some quite comical own goals in the fashion of 4 years ago!
Filbert_Ross Posted 16 December 2006 Posted 16 December 2006 They won't be up there for long. keep winning
filbertway Posted 17 December 2006 Posted 17 December 2006 Yup, coz all the teams in the top half have loads of money to spend on decent players. I mean, look at Colchester and all the money they spent on decent players... They still have decent players though, Greg Halford is probably worth more than our entire squad
