lookwhaticando Posted 4 December 2006 Posted 4 December 2006 Daventry William Parker in... you guessed it, Daventry... was the place to be. That is until 2001, when I left. Before that I have graced the schools of Jon Flamsteed Community School, Denby; Stanley St. Andrews, Stanley; Cloudside Junior, Sandiacre; Ladycross Infant School, Sandiacre over the course of the preceding years in reverse order (ie. most recent first).
The Man Who Would Be King Posted 4 December 2006 Posted 4 December 2006 School was great between years 7-9 (the winstanley years) and 10-11( the bosworth years), 4 years of just messing about, causing as much agro as possible, and just having a laugh. but then years 12 and 13 are boring as fook, when all your mates leave, and you have no-one to piss about with anymore, and the subjects get harder.
lcfc_jme Posted 4 December 2006 Posted 4 December 2006 Judgemeadow Community College had to be the best didn't it?!?!
MC Prussian Posted 4 December 2006 Posted 4 December 2006 We have a slightly different system over here. Personally, I don't know how I did it, but I managed to get by and stay alive during all of my 14 official school years (kindergarten excluded). After the divorce, my mum used to move a lot (and that continued later on once my stepdad was on board). Surprisingly enough, I was always considered to be an apt nerdy douchebag, although I never really put much effort into it. This outside image always flattered me, mainly because I had a totally different view on myself. God, I was shy back then. I had good notes throughout all my school years. Didn't cause much problems to my parents (they thought I was a natural ). I belonged to the one group that was never taken seriously (but always picked on, of course), and I was mostly quite a quiet kid. I could, however, get very angry if I was picked on for too long. And I guess those outbursts somehow made an impression on the others, so I was hardly touched, more mocked. But that passed with high school. Or let's say it was on a more subtle, teenage level. I always enjoyed being around with friends at school, not so much school itself, although a big part of the subjects as well as some great teachers had a huge influence on me. I was a daydreamer (and I think I still am one ). Best thing about school was the time after it. Just being able to hang out at a friend's place, play video games or watch DVDs. That was around the very exciting time the Internet came up and led to all sorts of wonderful discoveries, like Internet Po...ker. I'm enjoying my time outside the institution now, because I believe even though school can give you a great overall education, life teaches you way better and it's far more exciting (the ups as well as the downs).

Libertine Posted 4 December 2006 Posted 4 December 2006 He's here all week! It's a school of genius I think you'll find. Maybe not in terms of grades, but it is brilliant, it really is. Well not now, cos I've left like.
