Tits Up - Part IV

You fickle boneheads believe anything. It's about time I dispelled some of your myths.

1) We went into administration to avoid paying our debts

2) We hoofed it in the Premiership

3) Micky's substitutions got us relegated

4) Micky was responsible for La Manga

5) Micky was poor on discipline

6) Micky couldn't handle our star players

7) Santa lives in Lapland

And about time you knew some home truths:

You are the worst supporters any club could ever have. You don't sing and you don't turn up to games. When you can be bothered to turn up you spend all your time in the concourse. When you're in your seats you barrack half the team.

You are a disgrace and I hate your ****ing guts...

dont abuse other members, but i see where your coming from. We do not sing.

We have no one to sing about? I only like a few of our players, most are horrible, boring, old players. It was never that bad, even under Taylor.

Chandler I can't quite make up my mind about you perhaps you could enlighten us.

You are either a professional wind up merchant who trawls around websites looking for unsuspecting victims on which to vent your spleen

You've got a head full of saw dust that's gone all wet and mushy

Or your the secret ove child of Micky Adams, you're even talking like him stating negatives as positives,.

Give it up man, just in case you've forgotten Micky Adams RESIGNED, if he had as much confirdence in his ability, as you seem to have had to turn this disaster of a season round he would still be here.

Get a life or get lost.

My last word on the subject - really I hope it's yours as well

1) We went into administration to avoid paying our debts - I think you'll find only misguided opposition fans think that.

2) We hoofed it in the Premiership - That was pretty much our style of play. Did you think we played a slick, expansive passing game then?

3) Micky's substitutions got us relegated - One factor out of many. He was evidently inept tactically, as displayed by some of his bizarre decision making.

4) Micky was responsible for La Manga - He's the manager, buck stops with him. he didn't instill any rules. Again, he wasn't the sole reason, but one factor out of many.

5) Micky was poor on discipline - Explain 4 red cards in the first 10 games, and our subsequent poor disciplinary record before then.

6) Micky couldn't handle our star players - Did we have any 'star' players apart from Muzzy?

7) Santa lives in Lapland - :(

1. Check the other board you dunderhead. When I told other posters who was responsible for this idotic fiction (Eric Hall & Waterman) this fact was derided.

2. The hoofing powerball game was a feature of the promo season not our Premiership campaign. The style changed radically and this was widely recognised by independent observers. It was generally agreed that we offered good value entertainment.

Radio 5 Live's Alan Green regarded the away defeat to Leeds as one of the best games he covered. The 4-4 draw at Spurs was voted the best game of the year by SKY TV viewers. Only Man U scored more goals away from home than us.

3. Most supporters have limited tactical knowledge of what goes on on the pitch and certainly less knowledge on the fitness and attitude of individual players. Our tendency to concede late goals was a symptom of our players fear (and a lack of respect by the opposition) and inability to focus - not managerial shennanigans.

4. Micky was responsible for nothing at La Manga because the players did nothing. They were victims, set up from first to last by three Afro Kraut tarts and a corrupt, incompetent legal system (which tried to steal the club's bond until I warned Mr Davies this was what the officials were going to do).

5. Three of the red cards were supposedly for violent conduct. Dublin kicked out half heartedly in retaliation after being fouled. Connolly lashed out with the elbow whilst being held. Tiatto I would have to see again.

But we are not an especially violent team. The guys are, for the most part, a pretty mild bunch. There are far worse around at present. We were just unlucky with refs (as we are lucky now).

6. A common allegation made on the other board. The rift with Keown a case in point. I put forward my view about Keown and was laughed at. Judging by the remarks I have seen on here recently I was right (as I have been on so many other things) - he came here fully expecting to take over in the near future.

Apart from you lot, Keown was almost certainly a factor in Micky's resignation.

Mr Maher, you will have to do a lot better than that. Everyone knows that Santa lives in Greenland...

Most fans I know are aware of the facts.

2. The hoofing powerball game was a feature of the promo season not our Premiership campaign. The style changed radically and this was widely recognised by independent observers. It was generally agreed that we offered good value entertainment.

Wow, two games out of 38. Firstly, the Leeds game featured two sides scrapping for their Premiership survival, it is possibly the only game during that run in where we did put up a fight. Secondly, the Spurs game, yet another ding-dong end to end match, of course the neutrals will like it. Neither game was pretty, and for most of last season, neither was our playing style.

So making wholesale personnel changes in the last 10 minutes doesn't have any affect on the side then? Playing your members of your squad out of position works does it? I happen to think another reason for us conceeding so many late goals came from lack of fitness, now who's responsible for that, let me see.....

4. Micky was responsible for nothing at La Manga because the players did nothing. They were victims, set up from first to last by three Afro Kraut tarts and a corrupt, incompetent legal system (which tried to steal the club's bond until I warned Mr Davies this was what the officials were going to do).

The fact that our players got into the situation in the first place is just as bad, in my opinion. Adams trusted his players to act responsibly, they didn't, what does that tell you?

The fact remains that there are rules there, and the refs will apply them as they see fit, not as you or I see things. As soon as he lashed out, I knew Dublin was off. Same with Connolly. It's not just discipline on the field that was the problem, it was off the field as well.

Do you actually know what went on behind the scenes? Adams brought Keown in for his experience and knowledge, and to enable him take his coaching badges, and have a positive input into the support and development of the squad. Apparently.

I can imagine what happened, Adams is going through his tactical briefing with the players on the friday before a game, Keown perhaps questions him, and makes a few suggestions, and Adams couldn't handle it.

Well what was the point in bringing the guy in for the reasons above then?

So what if Keown harboured ambitions of taking over here? At least he had some!!
